No problem all about opinions, I thought the call to take Smallwood off and keep McDonald on was the correct one at the time especially after Alexanders comment post the Wimbledon game that we can't expect McDonald to play game after game yet he kept him on even though he played all 90+ minutes midweek against Doncaster.

 

Bet Young cannot wait till the summer to get out of this club ............ folk going on about looking good defensively fook me we have basically nothing to play for so why can we simply be not more attacking ?????
Least give us poor sods something to get excited about not another game where we look toothless yet again.

Erm isn't his job to comment on the game and what he sees?

I don't think he does have all the answers as you allude to but he is certainly tactically astute and can give an educated response to scenarios as they arise.

 

I thought the same. He must have been so p!ssed off having to play upfront on his own first half only for us to end up with Cook, Kavanagh and Smith all finishing the game. Play him in a two up top or don't bother playing him at all.

 

Everyone seems to have the answers but only 1 person can affect change and that’s the man in the dugout and no matter who we have in that position never seem to have those answers that the pundits and fans do readily have and can see clearly. Strange that

 

So Gary Jones is doing what thousands of us do every week ????

Thing is, Gary Jones was a great Bradford City captain but when he commentates on games he commentates with emotion. (Much like most of the people who post on here). Morais on the other hand reads and explains the game with rational thinking and gets his thoughts across with clarity

 

Shouldn’t have taken Chapman off he was causing them lots of problems first half and brought Richards into the game. We lacked cohesion second half

Did Smallwood decide to play towards the Kop in the first half? I only ask because as I listened to the match on I Follow Jamie Raynor said Wimbledon kicked off.

 

That was one of the worst games of football I’ve seen in my 33 years of going to Valley Parade!
Realised after 30 minutes how few passes we actually were stringing together. It was boring i started to count them! Over the next 10 minutes we once, once!!, made it to three - and that actually ended up with a shot that Smallwood hit into the pitch. We got to a peak of 5 actual passes to another team mate just before halftime.
It was a tiny bit better in the second half but still abysmal. Does GA really think that this dire hoofball is actually going to work?
We’ve been direct many times over the last 30 years but this is just hopeless

 

Really? It was far from a classic but to say it’s one of the worst you’ve seen then you must’ve really picked and chosen what games you’ve been to over the last 30 years cos we’ve seen much much worse than today!!!

 

The one thing that really rankles with me is that despite not winning in 8(?) league games we are still only 7 points off the play offs. What a complete kick in the bollocks that really is. Just shows why this is the khazi league

 

And our opponents today who barely laid a glove on us are only 1 point off the play offs.
It really is a shit league.

 

Was thinking the same at one point after one of the spells of both teams just launching hoofs to each other's centre backs. Seen a few youtube shows and podcasts over the last month or two, with a fair amount backing Wimbledon for promotion.

I know it's just one game, but wow, they looked so average it's unbelievable. At the start of the season, I thought there were a good 10-12 promotion contenders who'd all have good sides... in actual fact, there's about 3 maybe 4 good teams and the rest have little consistency, but seem to find ways to turn dull 0-0s into wins, or keep going to grab a point. Which we just fail to do.

 

What a bizarre thing to say unless you personally know him

 

I’ve had a season ticket for all of that time - stopped counting how many games I’ve been to / just passes!! It offered nothing and the “arguing” between the Kop and corner just shows how disconnected the fans are feeling.

We all know that until we have a change in ownership, leadership, and probably management we are going nowhere
