Not quite Wyke is it? Seems like GA wants a more mobile forward line with Cook the only big ‘un.
Like others have said a more dynamic CM, an LWB, a pacier CB and potentially a keeper to compete are all additions I’d welcome but depends on who we can shift

This signing would suggest to me that Wright is only here till the end of the season, with no attempt to make it permanent,or that either Young or Smith will move on at seasons end.As it stands,we have too many young players trying to be Cooks partner up front.

At the end of the window if no other player comes in are we stronger or weaker than before? The answer is weaker in goal, no change in defence or midfield. Much stronger upfront with the addition of Wright and Young,no idea what Kavanaghs like. Lost Oliver and Odasebe which are no big blows.

Stronger up front, but less experienced.

If Cook gets injured I'm not sure we have someone who can provide the rough and tumble that comes with GA's style.

That was the purpose of Oliver, though he never really fulfilled that purpose at any point.

Back up to Cook, but they are completely different types of player?

We rely on Cook to attempt to hold the ball up, whereas Kavanagh is more pacey and likes to get in behind. Hmmm, why sign him when we’ve got Wright and brought back Young??

And this is our “IN” transfers for another season????

I've heard that a couple of league 2 clubs are looking at Smith with a view to taking him on loan. Not surprising if he does leave as he was a certain starter in November/December scoring goals and now he's likely to face a fight to be on the bench with Kavanagh joining and Wright coming back from injury soon.

“a certain starter in November/December scoring goals”.

Are you thinking about the right player? Smith has only scored 3 in 27 league appearances (ave of 1 goal per 424mins or 4.7 games).
Or are you referring to his goals against u21 sides in the FL Trophy???

Thanks Dave , I wasn’t aware of his contract details. If he’s in his last knockings then they do right.

If that is our signings done
I would definitely say another wasted window
    More sub standard players
    weaker than when we started
    No back up keeper
    No improvement in midfield
    No pace in defence
Sparks & Gent must be hoping Alexander can perform miracles

I'm referring to his form in November and December where he was doing very well with 9 goals in 9 games. There's more to a player than just scoring.

We shipped osedebe and Oliver and brought in Wright and Kavenagh and brought back Young definitely an improvement Lewis and Walker we will have to see but Lewis has been very poor this season

We were never going to sign another goalkeeper when we have Doyle. It is incredibly rare now especially in lower leagues to have 2 goalkeepers that are very close to each other in terms of quality.

Doyle is this season's back up keeper and always has been.
We wont sign a defender unless someone leaves in that position, Stubbs, Kelly, Platt, Taylor, Tomkinson, Halliday, Richards, Ridehaugh and Ogeyoke, thats plenty, ok mostly average but enough to get us through.
Midfield is the one for me . A good ball playing midfielder with more mobility along side Gillead is what is needed.
Mcdonald can ping a good pass, Smallwood has 1 decent game in 5, but both move like bloody tortoises.

Come on Dave, he must be shite, afterall he has signed for Bradford city and every player we bring in has two left feet , but are right footed players.
The club can not win in some fans eyes.

Surely we’re stronger up front with Young and Wright ,weaker in goal the rest unchanged so can’t say we’re weaker than when we started.
