    They feed Parker with little tit bits to make him think he’s in the loop.
    Like a little lap dog getting his treats.
    He laps it up and it probably makes him think he’s getting insider info.
    The “working on for a while” is to try and convince us they have a structured,tried and tested transfer strategy

    4 goals and an assist his last 3 league games for Motherwell so he's hit some form recently. According to Transfermarkt he's about 6ft 3 so got a bit of height to him. Could be the back up to Cook if it is him.

    If it is Bair then it makes sense that this has taken a bit of time to convince Motherwell to either loan or sell him as he's hit some form for them. Motherwell signed a striker on loan from Blackburn yesterday so that could be their 1 in to allow him to leave.

    I'm not surprised. There was a lot of coverage of the proposed regime when it was first discussed. The EFL had meetings with all the clubs on it even to the point of agreeing what the salary caps would be for Div 1 and Div 2 clubs. (Championship clubs had already kicked it out). The clubs voted on this and with only 2 or 3 exceptions agreed the changes.

    Then the PFA got involved! They hadn't been consulted and that was required under the EFL's own rules. A huge and messy legal case was the likely outcome ... and the clubs agreed to drop the proposal rather than go down that route. The SCMP was reintroduced very quietly indeed to avoid any further embarrassment for the EFL. And that's what we still have today.

    That does remind me that this time last year we had some fans having a meltdown as Walsall brought in Stevens and Jamille Matt saying why didn't we go for them. Between them they scored 3 goals for Walsall last season.
