Moxon has been sold by Carlisle. Why sell one of their better squad members especially as they have been purchased by the dollars of wealthy Americans? They had “ loads” of money for investment , seems not?

 

He'd refused to sign a new deal at Carlisle so probably just cashing in while they can.

 

They're dropping down to league 2 and Pompey going up in all honesty. He'll be playing championship football on a big wage rise and Carlisle get a decent fee for a player to use next season. No brainer really and I'll be honest I don't think hes that good.

 

Do you know what. I'm not bothered if we don't sign anyone. I am usually very much a glass half full person, but even I have pretty much given up on this season. Had we moved early in the window and possibly turned around what has been a dismal January, then yes I could see the point. But here we are again at the last minute. I would say save the money and plan for the summer, but I don't trust us to do that right. I'm not totally convinced by GA either. In fact I'm just a bit fed up. I can't believe I've given up on us when it's still mathematically possible to make the play-offs.

I'm going with us bringing in 2 lads on loan, a wing back and a striker. I'd be tempted to look for a keeper too because the thought of Doyle moving around the Wembley box if we get to the trophy final scares the life out of me. But mainly because Walker might not end up being all that, and we've needed proper competition for the role all season.

 

Agree with this, I don't think signings now are going to make any difference in the short term to Alexander's long term task of promotion. End of season time will give him the chance to mould the squad how he wants and get those players up to the fitness levels he demands, not something you can do in January

 

Ironically the tower in the near vicinity of Fylde has more movement in it than Taylor.
