McCann is a cheeky bastard. It was Close who went in on him

Typical of an under fire manager trying to mask his teams poor display

If we can go to Derby and win, there's absolutely no reason we can't go to Blackpool and win

Don't remember too much bleating from Doncaster when Ravenhill snapped Osadebe's leg.

Open draw for the next round, which is a shame as Wycombe of Brighton away is a daft scenario when realistically we should just be playing Blackpool.

I really want the U21 team gone, what kind of crowd would an U21 team take to Wembley, it would kill an already dead competition.

    Some great performances last night.

I haven't seen Platts name mentioned much, but for me he was solid and his passing was great for a centre back. He has to start Saturday.

Richards, ran himself into the ground. Has a decent turn of pace and willing to get balls in the box.

Mcdonald- Steady away. Has to start next game. Much better than Smallwood.

Chapman- Better second half, the free kick was great.

Young- Ran himself into the ground and looked dangerous.

I wouldn't be so sure. I think they'd fill their allocation.

I agree with you about Platt. He's not perfect, but he's the best defender at the club imo.

There was much more mobility in the side last night. It was stark in how much it highlighted how slow and cumbersome we otherwise, usually are. And it's no coincidence that when you put better technical footballers in the side like McDonald and Chapman, we move the ball better. McDonald especially. He's the only midfielder we have the can pass the ball properly.

You think 40,000 would buy tickets to watch Brighton U21s?

In which alternative reality do you think 40k Brighton fans would turn up to watch an U21 team?

Realistically Peterborough are probably the best final attendance wise.

Cant see any of the remaining teams taking more than 15,000 ourselves included.

We barely mustered 20k for the L1 play off final if memory serves me correct.

The problem was that we'd been spoilt. Wembley was almost just another away day at that point!

That’s generous. Young was leaps and bounds ahead, application, touch, pace and frankly willingness. I know they are completely different roles but he’s been flat for weeks, despite the odd goal. Let’s be honest for a change…hes bang off form.

I think they would sell a fair amount. It would be a cheap day out and a chance to go to Wembley for the same reasons we would want to go, take kids etc. Wouldn't be costly for them due to proximity. Maybe a sell out at 40k was excessive, but they will more than match the lower league clubs for ticket sales.

    They won't get there though.

You don’t pick players because they “ love the club” or “ “ comes from Bradford “ that’s nonsensical. If you hadn’t said that I would agree.

He might as well bring me on , which would be a disaster;).
