GA kind of hinted that Wright has filled that pacey/attacking option so it feels like there won't be any more being added there. He also seemed to suggest we need to see more leave.

We really need a left sided wing back/midfielder unless Richards is back to 100% fit again

 

A klaxon today with someone registered in time for Saturday would be nice. Not saying I know anything is happening, just hoping

 

I think our wide options of Chapman, Pointon & Wright are decent enough for this division. Paired with Odour an Wilson who can fill up the bench. Its not amazing but it does the job. And Unless the latter two get moved on, I dont see any other wingers coming in to the club

We need to focus on the foundations now. A quality LWB should be the no.1 priority. Ridehalgh isnt good enough an should be moved on. Richards looks decent but only because we havent had a specialist LWB in years, an Richards is the closest thing we've had to getting one in the last 2 years. Get a quality CB in, and some competition for the CM position an were good to go for a promotion push

 

Just looking at a winger that can put a pin point cross onto the best header in league two.

 

Wright has pace, skill and finishing ability. Unfortunately non of our other wingers have all 3 attributes.

 

Left wing back is the main role for me in this team that needs an upgrade. Ridehalgh shouldnt have been offered a contract in the summer and it's obvious Richards isn't a natural LWB, he's always been a left sided centre half or occasionally a left back in a 4, his positional awareness has been wayward at time on the left but it's bound to be if he doesn't know the role yet. But the bigger issue with Richards is his fitness. He seems to play 3 or 4 times then he's out for a month.

 

Yet Richards looks far better as WB than he did in a flat back four.

 

Did he? I thought he was pretty average in the 5 under Hughes, average in the back 4, the 5 at the back with GA with him and Halliday pushed about 10/15 yards further up than they did in the Hughes tactic he's looked better but again, nothing memorable. He's going to need time and coaching on the new role but he's never fit long enough for it.

Good age, 10 goals in 25 this season, so not bad at all.

Yes.

 

He did well the season FGR got promoted scoring 27 goals but didn't do much in league 1 and finished the season on loan at Walsall along with Jamal Matt .

 

Again doing nothing, could be another Jake Young.

 

He has a decent record at this level I don’t know why not. I think he has scored one in two this season which isn’t bad for a struggling team

 

He got 27 when they finished top and has 1 in 2.5 ratio for bottom of the league this year... missed half of the season in between with ACL

Would be a risk but one worth taking in my eyes

 

Cheers I was wondering why he has had little game time this season, with our record of bringing in previous sick notes I'm not sure.

 

So players not good enough for Posh aint good enough for us. Gotcha.
