    An absolute must read. Got it yesterday and already 100 pages in (after skipping straight to the City chapter first).

    I didn't realise that Kammy's downfall was sealed after we stayed up in 1997 and at a garden party at Kammy's house, he got up and sang a song on karaoke that took the pee out of BFG, who was there.

    To say BFG was less than impressed was an understatement and it started the road to the end with him meddling even more in transfers etc than he had before.

    After the Man City cup defeat, BFG told Kammy he had to sack either Jewell or Hunter as the season was over and Kammy refused so BFG said it's one of them or you.

    Kammy told him to stuff it and sack him instead, which BFG tried to back track on, but Kammy was insistent, effectively bringing on his own sacking. Kammy's last act as City manager was to persaude BFG to appoint Paul Jewell as his replacement.

    His love for City really shines through, even now.

    Got it off Santa very good book to read while it's cold outside. Kammy top man good and ɓad times . Maybe a drama next

    I thought the chapter on City was rather short,and told us nothing we did not already know.I borrowed the book from our local library,but i would not be tempted to buy it.

    Out of interest. are you talking about the latest one "My Unbelievable Life" released in November or the previous one "Mr Unbelievable" ?

    The latter goes into more detail than the first one did and if you haven't read that, I highly recommend it. A heart warming story.

    Had it off my girls for xmas , been off work with a chest infection , so have got to give it a read . Got the first one , thats a belting read aswell .

    A top guy and a very successful manager over a relatively short period for us.
    From memory, a sigificant proportion of the 1999 promotion side were Kammys signings. Blake, Bruno, Gary Walsh, Beagrie. Nigel Pepper also played a bit part that year having played a major part in keeping us up previously

    I used to organise the Craven branch of the supporters club many years ago.
    Kammy was a brilliant guest speaker. He was always cracking jokes and had some brilliant stories. And he had loads of time for everyone. A top bloke.

    I wasn't aware with regards the song about BFG pushed him over the top, I though it was because BFG was a racist according to David Mellor.

    At the risk of being thought of as a name-dropper, my wife and I were at that garden party along with Allan and Chris Gilliver, with whom we were friends at the time. We spent quite a bit of time talking with Geoffrey and his wife, and I found him to be very friendly and easy to talk to. Kammy and Chris Gilliver provided wonderful musical entertainment, although I cannot remember the song that Geoffrey was unhappy with. Happy days !

    Behave, BFG knew Kammy was "of colour" when he appointed him, so how could he be a racist for sacking him !!

    I went to Maine Road to the aforementioned cup game and thought we were very unlucky that day as we played very well. Some magical games during Kammy’s spell both before and after promotion. Great time to be a City fan in the 1995-1998 period.
