    He will be on a huge wage I would imagine. Its one thing getting Richie to drop divisions for CM but getting a goalscorer like Wyke, is another.

    if the club pull the transfer off, it would certainly be a statement of intent RE sustainability etc

    Is he? For me he has been a major disappointment. He is nowhere near a Cook replacement. So I hope he does do well and somebody wants to buy him. In fact anybody wishing to take over his contract can have him.

    Reckon we need a fair few out to be able to afford Wyke, even on loan.

    Cant see Wigan wanting him out though? Started the season well with 6 in 10 but got another injury and has rarely featured since coming back about a month back, just 6 sub appearances. They don't look like they have a mass amount of out and out strikers at the minute either.
