So, again, I'll refer back to my point that we're not missing lots of chances but rather the problem in the last three matches is that we haven't created many for Cook and Smith.

 

I think any club who may be interested will know our situation, as I've posted no statement from the club says it all.

What do you want the club to say? This is a player that wasn’t deemed good enough and has played 7 league games for us. He played 17 games at Barrow and didnt score a single goal. We arent talking about Haaland here. Id suggest that this isnt disrupting the squad at all and that the club rightly have nothing to say on the matter.

I've posted what I expect of an ambitious club to say, every time we see Ryan he's telling us we wont accept mediocracy yet we have the league second highest goal scorer on our books and the club keep silent with regards all the speculation about him leaving.
You know as well as I do (well I hope you do) the situation is not the same with regards players scoring at every club they play at, we saw this with Doyle he couldn't hit a barn door for us but did it during the first half of the season at Swindon we then recall him and its the same Doyle couldnt hit a barn door, he goes back to Swindon and consistently scores like he's never been away, we have a completely different set up now under Alexander to what it was under Mark Hughes.
Where I have I suggested its disrupting the squad I haven't, your Haaland comment doesn't need a response a stupid comparison.

 

Well its all a bit OTT isn’t it. The player let’s not forget wasn’t exactly shown the greatest amount of love from the club during last season and the summer. He holds no loyalty to us. If he wants to leave and we get a decent offer then its best to cut ties. I really dont think Jake Young is going to define our season.

I think it is disruptive. Players will have their own view of what happened and whether they think he was dealt with harshly or not. Of course it shouldn’t affect them, but life happens.

You asked me what I thought the club should say I've answered you, it is totally irrelevant what Jake Young thinks of the situation he was more than happy to sign a 3 year deal.
I'm forgetting nothing the situation was caused we believe with regards a fall out with Mark Hughes who is no longer at the club so that can not be used as any sort of argument/leverage by Jake, leading back to your original question with regards the club making a statement, Ryan is more happy to quote us being an ambitious club so why would an ambitious club want to sell a striker with his goal, of course there are no guarantee's it will continue on his return to Valley Parade.
I agree withy your third point I don't think Jake Young staying or leaving will define the rest of our season, the question no one can answer is if we don't sell him would he hold it against his fellow team mates and his new manager Graham Alexander because of a situation cause by a past manager and himself, no matter how badly done to Jake Young thinks he was.

£500k with add ons is a reasonable bid IMO, £1million would be better but I think most right minded fans realised that won't happen even given the examples they've used.
Who knows what the future holds maybe £500k with add ons could be more beneficial in the long term if Jake is sold, who'd have thought Olie McBurnie would generate the size of add ons the club/Rupp received when Sheffield United forked out £20 million for the kid, but of course none of this will happen if Jake Young does not apply himself and score goals for his new club.

 

Hyperthetically, if it all gets sorted this week, who would you like us to sign instead of Jake Young?
