We’ve absolutely no plan, on and off the pitch. Everything for the last ten years has been pure luck. It’s a disgrace. GA was third choice. Bumbling along until the inevitable happens. Maybe not this season, but dropping out of the league WILL happen if there’s not a massive shake up. And who’s gonna do that? We’re buggered.

 

I had the good fortune to “cash out” at 2-1. City fans hey. Easy to beat the bookies with this shower. (53€ from a 3€ bet).

 

We were actually dominating the game at that point. We were all over them from the start of the second half until we went ahead. Crawley were in disarray at the back, slicing it everywhere and unable to get hold of the ball or out of their half. At that point I thought we were going to go on to win 3-1 or 4-1. Then we let them straight back in after we took the lead and their confidence came flooding back.

 

Well if they were, we were worse.

 

And I say it again, plenty of people saying Stubbs shouldn’t be playing - crazy!

Stubbs will leave this window and IMO, we’ve lost our best CB who rightly was dropped due to been off form. But dropped from the squad, don’t agree. What’s changed since GA came as to why he’s now not good enough??

 

We for some reason gave them space to pass the ball around us.

Let’s not blame Graham Alexander - probably the best manager we’ve had since Parky. This is down to a stale dead wood team. We must try and stay up this season and have a major clearout afterwards. Also, I think we can assume that Jake Young is leaving to make funds available for some average tweeks. I don't buy into that fact that he's done 5 mins training and reported a niggle, it sounds to me like this is a player who didn't want to return and will be opting out for a better opportunity.

 

Wow Crawley were appalling, I was ready to come on here at 2-1 up and say they were the worst I’ve seen at VP this season. Which just shows how dreadful we were, several steps below appalling today. Well done all involved pat yourselves on the back.

 

Afraid I disagree. Yes we applied some pressure but with very poor end quality. A cross goal and lucky penalty were all we really offered.

Yes, Crawley looked a mess for a period but as soon as they went 2-1 down they kept to their plan and kicked us right back.

We definitely didn’t dominate the first half, so apart from a bit of pressure for 25-30 mins I don’t know how GA constitutes that performance as us “dominating the game”.

 

The most Bradford City performance of the season. How abject to chuck away a 2-1 lead with a few minutes to go. They could have scored just before they did when platt let their forward run straight through. Ridehalgh MOM for a shanked cross? Caught out for the equaliser. As soon as we went in front the back three looked all over the place. Our best CH Stubbs can’t get in front of platt?
These are supposed to be pro footballers. Well the last 5 minutes was a black comedy. No excuses. We did dominate prior to that as Crawley retreated but as soon as we went in front we looked clueless at seeing the game out. We can’t keep blaming the manager. The player must take responsibility. Hopefully we can move many of them in this window. Unfortunately it might not be the ones that should leave.

 

I've seen all our home games so far this season and without doubt for me Crawley were the best team I've seen the movement on and off the ball was a delight, BUT having gone 2 - 1 up around 80 minutes we should have been capable of man managing the game, but once again we let the opposition have far too much of the ball after going in front, we started to defend deeper and deeper once again, as Fil Morais said you dont allow a team like Crawley time on the ball.
Just listening to Alexander on the radio saying "Young out with a slight injured but no worse than what he came back from Swindon with but he pulled himself out of contention on Friday in training sorry Graham you sounded anything but confident in what you was telling Raynor.
Swindon deemed him capable of playing the last 2/3 games for them but he doesn't think he could play any game time for Bradford City, could this be another Nahki Wells situation.

 

How many times did they get behind us with relative ease? The equaliser was an awful goal to concede. Ball carried with no pressure whatsoever, switched to the left and quickly moved to the right. Inside ball cut open the defence and then to top off, a cut back with the easiest tap in. Absolutely no pressure from us in that whole movement. Nothing.

I've seen 3 games after taking a sabbatical. I see little improvement, muddled tactics, a real lack of quality and a very average team.

IMO, managers, players are part of the problem but until we get real leaders, we continue to stagnate in this league.

I'd say that's an example of what happens when you flip flop stylistically, but Stubbs has been atrocious this season.

Agreed, Young doesn't want to be here. Alexander would probably like to keep him, however I think he's been told that the sale of Young will be his budget for the transfer window.
