Playing Ridehalgh in this system makes no sense whatsoever.

Our approach in January will be interesting, in terms of recruitment. GA has gone with 3 at the back since the Notts game, and I get why given the players we have. But is that his preferred system? I honestly don’t know what he’s gone with elsewhere, but do we look to strengthen based on keeping this system or changing it? Either way, we need 3 or 4 quality players bringing in.

We’re far too passive and open in midfield and defence. Not good enough this, by a long way.

This lot are giving us a lesson in football on the grass, this is piss poor Alexander.

 

Them being out is a big problem. Not just because of Walkers quality, but they’re both mobile and full of energy.

Ridehalgh is playing as a left back - because that’s what he is. And because we have 3 Centre backs, 2 of which have the turning circle of oil tankers, with Odour not having the dynamism of Walker, means we’re too deep and can’t press or get up the pitch.

GA should be brave and make a change now. Get Ridehalgh off for Pointon and stick Odour at LWB. Get us 10 yards up the pitch.

We desperately need fresh legs to play the way Alexander wants to play.
It's as clear as day and a little bit worrying that Alexander hasn't seen it.

 

The play-offs are still doable, but not with this side. Bristol Rovers were in a much worse position a couple of years ago, and didn’t they get your via the top 3?

You can make serious changes in a single window in this league. Get a decent fee for Young, get 4 quality players in, either on loan or permanently and it could change massively.

 

We played okay against a very poor Crewe team. The only very small positive is that we did not give /gift them that goal. That was a real;y good goal..

 

Just need to get the team higher up thr pitch.

I can't agree. Mathematically we've seen nothing that suggests we can win 12-14 of the last 20 games. We'll end up 9/10th.
