Am guessing it’s up to the parent teams to recall them and not us to terminate the loans. That only really happens if they have another loan move lined up

 

It might not be up to us if Tullock and Afoke go back unless we've got it written into the agreement that we can terminate the deal. It's already been said that Oyegoke is staying for the season after we negotiated lower terms for him. Hendrie and Cousin-Dawson are already out on on season long loans. Odusina's loan at Woking is due to end this month and i think we might struggle to loan him out again as he's only made 6 league starts for them

 

Just tell WBA and Villa they arent part of our plans and we wont be developing them accordingly. Parent clubs best interests then to find them another loan.

 

Tullock turns 23 in a couple of weeks so I don't think West Brom will be that bothered about what happens to him as he'll be released in the summer.

 

West Brom turned down a 7 figure bid for him a few seasons back from Sheff Weds. No idea who signed off on that bid.

I can't find anything about a £1m+ bid, there are articles of Sheffield Wednesay looking at him on loan in January 2022 at a time when Darren Moore was their manager who managed him at West Brom then took him on loan at Doncaster. Before that he was linked with Rangers so clearly showed some promise a couple of years but never realised the potential.

You won't find a story, I only knew from a friend. His lad was in the Sheff Weds academy at the time. Thinking back I'm guessing it was sometime in summer 2021 as he was at the friendly, so guessing it was after lockdown. He said the Sheff Weds head of recruitment was at the game too, and Tulloch tore them to shreds. Said he's never seen a quicker winger and their lads didn't have a clue how to play him. Recruiter charged for the WBA staff after the game to talk, wanting to know their asking price and said he's signing off on a £1m offer there and then.

Obviously went nowhere and guessing someone didn't sign off on it, but when we signed him in the summer he reminded me of the story. Kind of similar to the Rahic Peterborough bid for Danny Lloyd after he tore us to shreds. Rahic and DMac were in the box and at full time he said he'd give £500k (I think it was) for Lloyd right now and DMac said something like "which leg do you want for that price?". Think he's mentioned it on his podcast in the past.

 

Why is everybody talking about Smallwood being out on Saturday. Yes he was booked for the 5th time in the league against Crewe but the cut off point for 5 bookings leading to a suspension is 19 league games. My understanding he now has to get to past the 38th game before picking up his 10th booking to avoid a ban

Looks like we've dusted off the 'quality over quantity' plan and hopefully now dispensed with the 'throw mud at the wall' approach.

 

That's a start. I presume we have sent them back as i can not see any re calls from their clubs

 

We have 31 players not including the loan player that have come in which made it 35.
2 going back and 4 out on loan gets us down to 29. Still a lot to shift to get to a 22 man squad, especially if we plan to bring a couple in.
