Today is what I call a stick league 2 performance. Quite scrappy with the odd good spell, pretty physical at times.amd when your chance comes you have to take it Not the worst game I've ever seen

 

Kiwomya has seen about as much of Tomkinson as we have. He might be complete cr#p

 

Kiwomya was at his best today in talking utter shite.

 

Good city win! Overall we deserved the 3 points. We looked like we might be caught out positionally at the back a few times first half, but other than that we generally controlled the game, limited them to little, and looked the more likely to score without ever tearing into them. It was a well taken goal by Smith which continues his nice little scoring run.

 

Apsrt from not beating their centre forward once in the air, punting it to absolutely no one for the entire first half and almost gifting them the lead with a back pass so short their striker had to turn back for it then yeah, it's a reasonable performance.

 

He's going to be playing at the Olympics next year. How poor can he be?

 

I don't mind an opinion on a players performance but not based on blind hatred of the player in question. Marshalled a back line that kept a clean sheet, I know he ain't a fans favourite, he never will be, but I always give credit where it's due.

 

Good win today. Richards, Kelly and Smith all excellent... Smallwood best he's been a while too. Other than almost gifting them a couple of goals due to sloppiness at the back (and all credit to Lewis for bailing us out with two good stops!), we controlled the game basically from start to finish against the team who were 6th at start of play - with 2/3 of the season left dare I say it's far from over yet

 

Hopefully we can go on a winning run of 3/4 games and get some consistency.

Desperately need an injection of quality and pace in the team. It’s a concern when Gilly is the only mobile player.

 

He was puntin up field which was giving territory. Halliday and Richard’s was scrapping for it, which I thought we did well. He completed a one on one tackle which was very executed without giving a foul away. Like you I groaned when he was announced on the team sheet, but I would say he had his best game for us.

 

Smallwood was excellent second half.

 

First one of the season for me. I thought Gillead was a deserved winner of the m.o.m, also thought Kelly was very good too. Scrappy game but a much needed 3 points.

 

Yeah, maybe less so first half but he was everywhere 2nd half... the player we were expecting when we signed him, needs to start doing that 90 every game and we probably won't go far wrong

 

He was. Here is another player who is performing much better under GA.

 

Today's performance was obviously an improvement on last week. I was nervous throughout the second half because we were only 1 goal in front. I thought Smith took it very well. He seems to be forming a partnership with Cook.
Thought Walker should have done better when Cook laid the ball off for him at the end of the 1st half.
Gilliead, Halliday, Walker and Richards deserve a mention. Gilliead my man of the match.

 

His contracts up in June .

 

You can tell the fitness levels have gone up. We chased for a full 90 minutes today. Deserved 3 points and if the final ball had been better I reckon we could have scored one or two more. Small building bricks and one game at a time.

 

I thought Halliday just edged it for me, but Gillead was also excellent as was Smallwood. Walker was very energetic and Richard’s is growing into the role.
