I can't see anything other than a 5th consecutive league defeat tomorrow. That first half Sunday-league circus against Notts County was too bad to have suddenly improved enough to beat a current Top 7 side over 90 minutes.

Sincerely hope i'm wrong, obviously.

 

I’m confident that we’ll do well tomorrow,the players seem to be buying into the Alexander method of playing. Hopefully I’m not grumpy as hell walking back to the car tomorrow.

 

Can't believe I'm seeing Taylor in some people's predicted lineups. Granted, Stubbs has been poor but Maldini would look like a pub player next to Taylor.

Stubbs and Platt formed an excellent partnership this season so should be the go to in a four. And a back three would then pick itself considering Kelly is our only left footer.

 

Any back three that doesn't include Taylor is an improvement.

 

LOL love the passion, but Stubbs has been dog dirt lately.

Really think it will make the slightest bit of difference which of them starts?

I'd rather we went for the better defender aerially as we're probably facing a 6'5 striker who already scored a header past us once this season. He easily beat Sam Stubbs to the ball, too.

 

Would like Kelly Stubbs Platt if he's going for a back three

Lose this and worse case scenario we're bottom 4. Win and best case scenario we go 13th and all is well

 

I think the team will be Lewis, Halliday, Platt, Stubbs, Kelly, Richards, Smallwood, Oduor, Walker, Cook, Smith.
He took Taylor and Pointon off at halftime last week so I'm guessing Stubbs will, just, keep his place. And I get the impression he quite likes Oduor and was impressed by him on Tuesday.

 

Their chairman seems a bell end, so i hope we send him home empty handed.

i fear for Lewis if we concede in the first few minutes again and the tennis ball chuckers lose patience (assuming they smuggle them in down their pants).

hope we nick this and start on the front foot to get the fans behind GA though. Atmosphere was flat after the early goal vs Barrow.

i think we’ll see 5-3-2 with Lewis, Richards, Kelly, Stubbs (or Taylor), Platt, Halliday, Gillead, Smallwood, Walker, Smith, Cook.

we’ll have a strong bench with Wilson, Pointon, Chapman and Oliver waiting to come on.

I can see this being the team. Although I'd prefer either Odour/Pointon starting over Gillead in a midfield 3 to make it abit more dynamic, especially being at home.

It's nice looking like we might have some decent options from the bench.

I'm hoping Tomkinson soon gets a chance too. We signed him presumably with playing a back 3 in mind, so it would be good to see how he does.

 

Accrington look like a well coached together team full of endeavour. We will need to match them for a result today. The manager has had a baptism of fire

 

I'd rather we went with the one that isn't Taylor. He's probably the worst centre half I've seen since Rehman and overall, probably on a similar level.

I said it before but just watch how much better the defence and Stubbs himself start to look once we bomb him out.

 

Well, after last Saturday's debacle. I decided i needed a complete week away from city. Not been on here or the T and A.
Noted the score from Tuesday and just watched the highlights. this morning. Looked a good performance and a carry on from the second half of last week, more of that please.

One thing is certain, Mr Cook need to find those scoring boots ,the number of chances he missed last week was a disgrace and hopefully the return of Vadaine will push him on,

I am not one for protest , i am not sure we can force the owner out by throwing tennis balls on the pitch and i am certain, he will be well aware that dropping out of the league, will see his investment disappear. I did hear a rumour that he has provided the funds to remove Mr Hughes.

The team need us now, more than anytime, its easy to turn up when playing well and wining.
Lets lift our voices, make the ground bloody hostile for opposing teams, Up the f###ing Chicken's.

I hope he performs significantly better whoever he's playing alongside, if he is indeed playing!

It would be hard to play much worse, though.

 

At least we know he's capable of better. You can't say that for Taylor.
