    I think the Thorogood solution is called for, with the hope that it doesn't end up as a Haggard problem, in which case one might have to resort to the Holmes solution.*

    But it's cups of tea only for another 9 or so hours, thanks to a need to drive here and drive there, and play a bass and/or guitar competently this evening.

    If anyone comes across Żywiec Ciemne in shops, please let me know. It's become my favourite beer in Poland recently and now I'm back in the UK for a while, I'd like to have a few.

    Since late last year, Pale Rider has been brewed by Thornbridge in Bakewell, Derbyshire.

    Thornbridge, who have had a long term close relationship with Kelham Island, were involved in the saving of Kelham Island after it closed in May last year. Unfortunately, in the 6 months it took to save it, all the brewing equipment had been sold off so, until the old Kelham Island brewery can be re-equipped, Pale Rider is currently being brewed by Thornbridge, and not for the first time. In its early days, Kelham Island couldn't keep up with demand, especially after Pale Rider won Champion Beer of Britain in 2004, and so some Pale Rider was brewed by Thornbridge then as well.

    Either way Pale Rider is an excellent beer.

    It’s annoying. The pump clips disappear on the way over. Fortunately I had this old one in my collection. Winning that award almost bankrupted them! So yes, Thornbridge came in with a rescue package, which is how I got this beer. We get a shipment from Thornbridge once a month.

    No photos but I had an excellent pint of Landlord and a very good pint of Boltmaker in the Fighting *@?$ today but my attention was grabbed by a Super Collider by Salopian Brewing Company. The plate on the pump appeared to be some kind of James Webb telescope image and I felt I had a duty to our resident beer person and astronomer/ astrophysicist @Stafford Bantam@Stafford Bantam to try it. Not bad but nowhere near the Landlord.
