    **so funny**so funny

I'm not sure it is Ross County are certainly in a relegation battle, although as a game they more or less ran the show at their place I don't fancy a repeat of that scoreline or Uncle Derek applauds the fans at the end of the game, especially after he accused us fans of driving him out, nothing to do with the tripe we were watching on the pitch.

As we speak Adams has walked out at Morecambe and is expected to be named as Ross County's new manager.

No one knows the full details
Now he's left Morecambe twice seeking pastures new this time mid season
I hope they cut the strings and next time he upsets fans/chairman/players of his present club which is inevitable
They close the door firmly on him when he tries returning
Think his reputation south of the border is well and truly tarnished

He's asked the board for his release and they granted it.

    Good for him.

    I don't see any problem.

You would think he would have shown some loyalty it's not as if he's gone to a top job and doubt he would have moved for less money
Especially after he dumped them for us and then they welcomed him back after he failed here
But no one knows the true picture
No sentiment in football management I suppose

To be fair, clubs don't think twice about sacking managers midway through a contract, so works both ways.

The only loyalty in football comes from fans who don't change clubs, generally speaking, in their lifetime

I'm sure Morecambe fans would have him back in a heartbeat. The board most likely have allowed him to leave as they'll get a compensation fee and a manager on lower wages. The club is in a financial mess and really for him to leave them in 9th place is a big achievement. Whenever he leaves Ross County I'm sure he'll have plenty of offers from league 2 clubs as everywhere he's been he's done a good job apart from with us.

Ross County met a release clause in his contract. There was nothing Morecambe could do.

    And why not!

If Morecambe were happy to put that in his deal, it's little different to Mark Schwarzer leaving us back in the day.

Even if he didn't ask for his release, it's all fair and above board :)

If RS is to be replaced, who appoints the successor? Presumably Rupp...who I would imagine couldn't be arsed. I don't see how we get a "proper" CEO unless it's to work with Sparks within this sustainability thingy.

Yep. Rupp seems to trust Rhodes’ view, but Rhodes groomed Sparks into the role so turning on him would be admitting his own failure?

I just think Sparks needs some support. He’s getting pelters, I don’t think he’s a bad guy. He does things with the best intentions, but there is (as Adams said) no structure at the club and he’s been hung out to dry by Stefan with no football expert in the house.

Any owner worth their salt would be making a statement and supporting their CEO, maybe even looking to bring in a consultant or whatever given he can’t be arsed himself. Just to take some pressure off Sparks for a bit.

I thought there was a suggestion that Sparks had built a relationship with Darragh McAnthony? The same McAnthony some thought should take over City? I would have thought he could offer some friendly advice?

    What I said last week.......

"A plane isn’t needed, a size ten boot is! So many professional people have spoken about City being a potentially successful (in terms of moving up the league) club, if only the owner would take a bit of risk/interest/gamble. Chris Kamara is the latest to speak out, saying the club needs an owner who takes interest. Sparks thinks we’re doing ok, so therefore does Rupp. Sparks needs sitting down with someone who knows the way football works, and told that at the moment we’re stagnant at best. This then needs to be articulated to Rupp, who then must decide to pay out or get out. It’s a crying shame with this fan base, that we’re being left to coast along in L2. It’s not a place for an ego."

Isn't he (or seems to be) forever in touch with Darragh at Peterborough and on his podcasts? Darragh has been vocal in the past about how successful we should be and what a prospect we are I'm sure I recall? Given all that, you'd think that Sparks would be picking Darragh's brains, watching and listening to his every move and words and Darragh passing some of that on? Not sure it seems like that though....

Despite deluded Dereks comments, he obviously makes a very valid point about the hierarchy at our club. The lack of structure and vision/plan is nothing short of disgraceful. Sparks' seemingly relentless mission to make a success of the commercial side of the business has returned the fans absolutely f-all for the past 6 seasons, and some of our fans think we should be grateful we have a club to support!

Also Adams worked wonders at Morecambe. None of us liked the guy but you cannot deny we are the only employment where he hasn't achieved something

But Steve, that doesn't fit with the status quo of some....

It can only be the fault of Adams after all....

He’s owner of Posh. How can he give ‘proper’ advice to Sparks in the sort of capacity we need, to make Bradford City strategic decisions?

Morecambe due to be bought out by wealthy group, an opportunity missed by Frau Rupp
