What should the club shop sell, which it currently doesn’t

I agree, @Interested Bystander - But your welcome point of view misses my own point.
For years City fans have moaned about poor quality, in merchandise. On the few occasions City DO get the quality right, the price is high enough to make even Schofields and Debenhams blush !
Clothing retail is such a cut throat and volatile market, it is hard to make it work in the football world. That was my point.

Joking apart it’s getting harder the older you get. Sometimes it’s like I’m 20 again, sometimes it’s like 80!

At least I feel I dress far better than my dad did at the same age. Funny how fashion changes. The only thing I stick with is one of my City shirts now and again. I love the locals reactions in the pub. You can see em breaking their neck trying to suss it, although the genuine ones do know.

 

A better way to do it, but not all Clubs have the same view point in West Yorks.

Tell you what Chris there won’t be many clothing retailers left soon the way the high st is going.
They are ALL struggling... if John Lewis are (on news during the weekend) the rest are in deep doo doo.!!!

It not the same buying online, I like a trip out, coffee, bit of lunch, etc etc. You just end up being a semi skint cabbage buying on line because it’s so bloody easy!

Went to Prague a couple of years ago, got a good leather 3/4 jacket from C&A right in the middle of their city centre. It was absolutely diabolically hot wearing two coats getting on the aeroplane:thumbsup:

The only reason I know 'a bit' about this is because my missus was a 'first cut / show' (Sample) seamstress for 25 plus years. All that is now being undertaken in Rumania.
My missus was happy to walk away, and now delights in doing a mundane job where there is no pressure, no hassle and few targets.

 

I've not bought anything new (Bar socks n' underwear) for about 5 years. !!

I have about 20 Italian shirts which all retailed for £100 +, but I only paid £10.00 6 months later. All still 'mint' !

Sorry @Kevin1954 ....... Greenwoods - In January 2013, I purchased a Full 'Oxford' Woollen coat from Greenwoods. Originally £599.00, I walked away with it for just £124..99. This style is still current and available from £299 upwards, from other retailers. A steal, I tell ya, a steal. !

 

Ah now yer talking . Got one from JL in 2016.... of course I need a “going out” winter coat I said to wife. £400 Ted Baker job. Worn it twice. Bloody stupid tbh. Now in the drobe in a suit bag!

Fans are dashing out to collect tickets from the club shop in lunch breaks and then queueing. Can't the club arrange to sell burgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks? Another missed opportunity.

 

With your user name you should be asking for the bars to be open. Actually on second thoughts maybe not, they don't actually sell any ale do they. Just warmed up piss.

Not the shop but Southend have created a Deadline Day offer for their hospitality where if you sign up for the hospitality for our game there before 5 PM today you get a discount. Just thought it a nice tie in considering that people's attention will be on such.
