No sugarcoating it, that was garbage. I don't blame Alexander in any way, he'll now know the true extent of the job he first applied for. Constant failure from the guys above his command have left him with a bloated squad with no real purpose. As I first thought it may take him a couple of transfer windows to get a squad capable of undoing the damage left by the useless Hughes.

All about opinions I thought Bobby was one of the few players who were happy to go at defenders, I didn't understand what position Alexander was asking Pointon to play first half, when Halliday received the ball he came towards Halliday instead of on the shoulder of his defender.
My only criticism of Alexander was once they went 2-1 up he did not go with two subs until the 84th minute, he says he will go at games but today he didn't, for me if anyone needed a run it was Chapman, Pointon on the right with Chapman on the left.

It was 4-1, but yeah, it could be 7, 8, 9.

One positive is that the manager will have learnt more from today’s defeat than he would from a victory.

We were discussing that, Broncs, and ultimately I couldn't fault Alexander.

He was forced into 2 subs in the first half, and there wasn't a lot of point changing at half time, so that left him only 1 more sub opportunity. If he'd used it much earlier, it would have been asking for trouble.

So when he did change it, he made a double attacking sub, so I really didn't have any complaints with that myself.

Your correct that goal should have put us in front, Smith should have buried that early chance, we have to find a way of bringing Cook into the game again today the Barrow CDs had a field day, but then again did anyone win a header in their area.

Lobbing high balls into their box was meat and drink to Canavan.

Ridelough should have pushed him out to the touch line but he let him past, Walker then let him get on his right side which gave the barrow player time to make the cross

Ridehalgh needs to retire. Gilliead playing out of position looked three times the player.

Cook had little to work with today but his all round game at the moment doesn't justify selection.

oh and. another thing relegation is a possibility... take away our home renta crowd ( that never intimidates any team) we have and our undying support way. will leave you with this thought.. in the last three seasons we never looked better than Oldham and they always had a good team against us .... look at them now... we need points

Maybe I'm being little too critical but we were losing we had nothing to lose with regards bringing fresh legs on, given time I believe he'll turn us around, again certainly first half we saw far too much possession in our own half, but I can accept its been drilled into them it must be difficult to just switch off.

Whilst we persist with Taylor we will continue to concede goals.

The fact he's 10 yards away from anyone when a goal goes in means he's absolved of any blame though apparently.

Problem today was the final 1/3rd, we should be pulling the opponents back line out of shape to create opportunities, instead we end up down blind alleys. And… what as the 2 man corner routine all about?
