I should imagine that the bulk of any cost is groundwork and steel.

 

Don’t know if it’s been said or not but on the Wrexham documentary I’m sure they said one stand was going to be £20m!

 

The one stand they plan on building is going to have 5,500 seats, a fairly massive stand for the size of the ground currently. Think the £20m including demolishing and removals too, but still a huge amount of money. In the end i think they want a 20 odd thousand seater stadium very very long way down the line, so a 5,500 seater end is a decent start towards it.

 

That figure I would guess is possibly right if Rupp want to get his money / fees back with added inflation?

 

Oxford new stadium is not under development yet still going through the process of getting Kidlington residents on side result expected before Xmas then it goes to planning committee for approval
Hopefully first dig should start in early summer
Can't wait to get inside it 3rd ground they will have had that I know off Manor ground was always my favourite

 

Expensive these ground upgrades! Just shows the value of already being in a 25,000 seater stadium even if we don’t own it!

 

It isn't just the size of the ground, it's also having the realistic prospect of filling it. Salford could build a 30k stadium just like MK have done but without a lengthy period of success and prem football they are never going to fill it.

 

When figures are been put about about the costs involved eg Wrexham £20m to build one stand you have to factor in that they already own the land. If we were to build a ground we would need to buy the land as well plus find the land

 

We don't need to build a 25k stadium though, we already use one. We are more likely to sign a new lease than build a new stadium.

 

Totally agree was just pointing out that the actual costs to own and build a replacement stadium would be even higher than had been mentioned

 

Anymore on this @Norman Corner , this is the only thing keeping me positive around city that this delay in management announcement might be part of a bigger plan.

 

Its the hope that kills you. There's nothing to suggest this is anything more than an empty, fan driven rumour (which comes around every couple of years anyway)

 

There's legitimate interest, so not entirely untrue, but the idea of it being a done deal is probably false

 

When ever businesses go up for sale there are a lot of time wasters negotiate by all means but unless you are willing to meet the owners valuation no matter how overpriced you may think it is don’t waste yours and the vendors time

That doesn't make any sense whatsoever!

 

Negotiate and have the ability to pay the negotiated price. When I sold my business it happened twice spent a week showing them the workings and they couldn’t produce the money
