i think people see anyone over 6'1" as a target man. We had Jon Stead, he was 6' 3" but not your archetypal target man, he was a skilful player who brought others into the game.

Don't see where Aneke would fit into the team and he'd want too much in wages to be someone who can it on the bench as a back up

 

Plays 2 position if Payne gets injured can cover and also he is a big lad with pace who can play up front

Isherwood went to Shrewsbury instead of Kilgallon so don’t be surprised if Killer leaves before the deadline.

 

No more transfers expected upto the 9th but we have the loan window still open until the end of the month. Collins says we will bring in another striker if one becomes available but in my opinion we also need another attacking midfielder especially if Payne gets an injury. I can see us using the loan system to bring in both positions as soon as the premier league clubs announce their squads.

 

Certainly think we need a couple more additions if we are expected to compete and be successful in the cup conditions to generate the income Mr Rahic stated we needed last season - (especially if we need to strengthen in January). The intensity the players are expected to play to will mean some fatigue and injuries will be picked up.
