The 98/99 promotion season was the best football I've seen from a Bradford City team. Better than the nearly season, although I didn't go to as many matches then.

Only time in my lifetime when you went to see us knowing we had the capability to hammer the opposition.

A debate that will continue as long as those who remember are with us Park. Not really comparable as you rightly say. It’s no different to comparing Mills v David Layne v Jim v Bobby . We could talk late into the night ..at the end of the day, it’s all about opinions.

if we'd have put a cross in like that and Cook had been on the end of it and scored we would have been waxing lyrical about it, Mullin completely lost his marker, you may class it as playing for opposition defensive mistakes but IMO it was a well worked goal we knew they would play the ball into the box with Mullin and Fletcher up top.
With regards the banner if was uncalled for and you have to wonder why any Bradford City fan thought it necessary.

I posted Parky would certainly be in my top 5 for exactly the reasons you post regardless of the success he brought us he brought us together again we were a club adrift and going nowhere with limited finance I could never not applaud him before he took his seat but once the game started I was pointing out he never changes, out of his coaching area in the fourth officials ear trying to influence every referee decision that didn't go Wrexhams way.
We had some special moments but Villa Away has to be right up there with the best.

My old eyes might be going but I didn't see the banner. What I did hear, however, was lots of polite applause when Parkinson arrived at the dugout, which I thought was fair enough.

It was certainly a different Parkinson yesterday applauding the City fans than the Parky that came out with Bolton and he didn’t want to know us. I’m probably being cynical but was this change due to Disney filming this for their Wrexham documentary.

When Parky last visited valley parade with Bolton he walked all round the pitch at the end of the game and applauded the city fans. He wasn't being filmed for a documentary then.

Don’t tell Chris it’s their not there.

I agree it’s embarrassing. It wouldn’t have paraded long in days gone by.

Embarrassing give over inappropriate yes but embarrassing behave, I wasn't aware until my grandson pointed it out and just after that it disappeared but to suggest taking their season tickets off them is a nonsense and a shocking comment from a fellow Bradford City fan, I'm so glad I don't do twitter or what ever platform that is.

Thanks for that @HUDDERSSBANTAM@HUDDERSSBANTAM very good read and goes a long way to the reason Phil Parkinson walked : More tellingly, hindsight has since shown that Parkinson’s decision to walk away after realising he could not work with new chairman Edin Rahic was a prescient one, and not as some suggest he already had the Bolton job offer.

He certainly didn’t do that in the game at Bolton

All I can say to that Dave is in November 2015 I was in Sainsbury cafe at Greengates and bumped into a member of the first team non playing staff. I complimented him on our great win at Scunthorpe the day before. He then shocked me by saying Parkinson was definitely going at the end of that season and taking all the staff with him. He was very unhappy that he couldn’t take the Sheffield Utd job as Rhodes and Lawn wanted too much compensation. He said he was also unhappy about the playing budget after our amazing cup run beating Chelsea Sunderland and reaching quarterfinals. The Rahic meeting in 2016 suits Parkinsons narrative of reason to leave but I’m convinced he’d have left anyway.

I was at that game and I can remember vividly he didn't acknowledge the City supporters until after the game but no way did he walk round the pitch.

But he did at the Valley Parade match, most definitely. He certainly made no acknowledgement at any time at the game in Bolton.

As a neutral here, I have to say the 'banner' was a little 'odd' to say the least.
If Parkinson had 'popped his clogs' and this was a tribute to him then fair enough I suppose, but considering he was an opposition manager then a polite round of applause would surely have been sufficient.
