    Not sure if everybody agrees with me or not, but Ryan Sparks: you're in the last chance saloon now.

    I wasn't convinced when Ryan was appointed CEO (understatement), but I've been moderately impressed with the way the club has been run off-the-field.

    But I don't care a lot about off-the-field, it's a nice bonus, it's a nice feeling, but it's not critical. What's critical is what happens on-the-field, and it's been pitiful.

    My opinion is clear: someone must be brought in at a Director level, but I have a feeling we'll just fly by the seat of our pants and hope and pray a manager comes along and manages to produce the minor miracle of restoring us to where we should be.

    But I won't hold my breath, and if the next manager fails, to me that tells me Sparks has failed in the most important task of being CEO of Bradford City once too often.

    Should only be allowed to deal with the commercial side of the club from now on, leave footballing decisions to someone who knows what they’re doing.

    Sparks just isn’t getting it. Blame all the managers you want. Do you trust him to make the right decision? I don’t.

    Completely disagree we don’t have a sugar daddy and Sparks took over this club when we’re in financial dire straits and with an upcoming epidemic. We now have a budget to compete with owners who have put millions in. Last season every thing was in place to get promotion in his third season despite all the difficulties. As I have said earlier I believe other clubs would live him and when he moves and that could be soon it will be upwards

    It won't be 'upwards' to a role overseeing anyone's on-pitch activity, that's for sure.

    Go tempt Stevenage DoF Leon Hunter up here and tell him to bring his manager with him.

    Sparks can then concentrate on marketing and the commercial side of things, which he clearly does a good job of.

    A CEO has to be an all rounder the business of appointing managers and supporting them is only part of it. He has been very unlucky with his appointments I’m sure they take advice from experienced people and also references in their search

    We have a commercial manager now. Yes, we have formed PARTNERSHIPS with companies but I wouldn’t say that we a decent budget. While the signings made are not highlighting that.

    Sparks was always going to bring in more business than Rhodes but so could you.

    The problem is with Sparks is that he isn’t powerful enough. He is letting Rupp just run us like a disinterested owner he is.

    Look, some City fans are not the brightest and those that think Sparks is doing a good job and Rupp is a good owner really need to wake up and fast!

    Sparks is as good as anyone we are likely to get and better than most. I think most have no quibble with the way the club is being run off the pitch.

    His managerial appointments? He got Adams, who was the popular choice at the time given his track record with Morecambe, and when he left we got Hughes and nobody could believe we could attract someone with that background.

    He's now done what people were wanting him to do in sacking Hughes in pretty short order.

    Hindsight is 20/20 vision, but acting in the here and now without a crystal ball not sure what else he is supposed to do.

    That's how it works. The owner gets to do exactly what he wants with the thing that he owns.

    If you think Rupp is not a good owner, you clearly have no memory of some of the past ones we have had.

    We are not in danger of going bankrupt and we have a competitive playing budget. That puts him in the top tier of ownership as far as Bradford City goes.

    He hasn't even interviewed people properly, Park...

    And no, they don't have to be an all-rounder.

    In fact, it would be better if they weren't an all-rounder, and accepted their obvious limitations and appointed people appropriately.
