The way the statement ends with "The process of appointing a new permanent manager is already underway, with an announcement to be made in due course." sounds to me like we've already decided who we want, similar to how we got Adams

I wonder if there's anything to read into that, and whether they've already got someone lined up.

 

Listening to Gary Jones last night, he made it clear what was coming and obviously knew that result was the final straw and made a few hints about players not happy with Hughes' tactics.

I'm glad Hughes has been spared a potential toxic atmosphere on Saturday. He didn't deserve that.

I'm not sure the position at the club Trueman had carried much clout, I doubt Hughes would have asked his opinion, we all knew deep down it was the parting of the waves sooner than later, he didn't seem to be able to accept our squad were not good enough to play his style of football.

 

Fatty has just ordered his taxi to Bradford.

Get someone in to be part of the recruitment process on a short-term basis as a consultant. Could be a few thousand quid very well spent.

 

Everyone wanted it to work out, no fan sees a managerial appointment and thinks to themselves, oh I hope we play terribly and really struggle while he's here.

Sadly another big name that didn’t deliver in his signings or style of football at our club, and no doubt leaving with a nice wedge to end his services

The football was awful and I’m sure many are glad to see the back of his negativity.

Time for a clean sheet and fans to fully support McDonald /Trueman on Saturday, and get behind the team

What a sad state of affairs.

How many good games have we had this season? One against Newport. Even the other wins were a difficult watch.

Harrogate was awful and we hardly celebrated the equaliser. Followed by Walsall who were there for the taking, and Tranmere who’d lost eight in 10.

But even thinking back to last season, did we ever put in a decent 90 minute performance? We played well for half a game most of the time, and when the autos were within reach we blew it. Crewe away etc, another awful performance.

I really thought we’d cracked it with this appointment. I’m just left feeling completely fed up with the whole situation.

 

Maybe McDonald was the plan all along if it all went tits up?

 

That’s what jumped out at me. Seems they have already got a few lined up.
