He's Deffinetly lost the fans and looks like he's lost the dressing room that says it all thats common denominator in a sacking in football

I did say we might not be lucky enough to play anyone as bad as Newport were, today we made a cobbled together team look way better than us from pretty much every perspective. That central midfield kills Hughes stone dead and yet again our goal machine from last year is feeding off scraps for 90 minutes. The writing is on the wall now, I'd say the majority of the crowd now have turned against Hughes. It's time for him to go.

I believe that this squad is more than capable of getting results with the right coach/ manager in place, unfortunately Hughes is not that man, but a fresh pair of eyes with new ideas might just get a tune out of this team.

I’d approach Neil Warnock and get him to take over for the rest of the season. It’d be a lot more lively than the dross we get now.

Lose on Tuesday and then get a likely thrashing by Swindon and a new dawn is upon us

We need to start somewhere sometime we are going nowhere under Hughes
Not a popular view but a DOF (Warnock)
And a young hungry manager (Wild)
    Would be my preference

Agree there are some talented players in here for this division but the positional play is all over the place because Hughes as them playing out of there comfort zone, its on the managers head this one no one else.

You really don’t know our CEO and owner do you?

They can’t handle someone like Warnock. They want to make out everything is rosy in the garden.

I am as disheartened as anyone right but finding it difficult to figure out what is going so wrong. These players are not useless. They never gave up and gave it their all. But - few if any goal attempts and two conceded from corners. And Walsall are not that special! Easy just to blame Manager - but what could be done differently? One thing might be to give space to Lewis at corners - our own players block him fro going for catches. The whole team taking five strides forward might help. Also we now get dispirited when City go behind and this must come through to the players.

As I cannot think of anything else - just sack him

I think I would rather us take a chance on a young unproven manager with positive ideas until the end of the season

It isn't, the central midfield has fundamental.problems I don't think any manager could solve without transfers.

The radio said we’d two shots, and was it just the one against Grimsby. This from a home team. Says it all really.

Well I went today in hope and come away deflated, sick of this boring side to side football, no passion no fight! All poor today only Halliday and Walker tried to have an impact, it’s as if the whole team doesn’t try and compete because they don’t believe in MH’s style of play, certainly most fans don’t.

I didn’t boo at the final whistle but can see what some fans see when they applaud them off the pitch, beggars belief!!

I would 100% snap your hand off for Warnock right now.

I don't think Warnock would take a DoF role.

We need a manager who can basically shake this club up from top to bottom and compensate for the lack of capability above him. It needs someone with great big balls, and for me that's Steve Evans. He's even shown em, apparently.

It'll never happen though. So Cowley Brothers.
