Would Sparks have the balls to sack Hughes? Not anytime soon id imagine.
I believe Hughes thinks he’s untouchable. His recent post match interviews have come across like he’s not bothered. He doesn’t agree with the problems that we see on the pitch and it feels very much to me like he feels no pressure in the job at all. I don’t want that from my manager. I want them to feel the pressure. I want them to acknowledge that the team were boo’d off and that the first 8 games haven’t been good enough.
He’s a very wealthy man who has played and managed at the top table. I feel that he’s treating this job as some kind of hobby.
I don’t think he sends his teams into battle like the other managers do in this league. I just don’t think he gets it.
Sparks will hold little to no authority over him and to be honest I don’t think MH will have to answer to anyone at Bradford City.
I can’t watch what he’s serving up anymore and I want him gone.

A great post, just about sums up what we all feel, but for sure this cant go on for much longer.

 

I genuinely think Hughes was shocked at the reaction yesterday and seemed more timid in his post match interview with Raynor.The width of the post posted that he was booed when he came over to the Kop and to my knowledge that was the first time at home the fans have turned on Hughes.

 

Please stop this silly talk of a DOF…we’re in the 4th division.

 

I'd love to know how you know what the salaries are of two managers at different clubs. Please tell.

Again another tick in the box for Darrell Clarke. Worked under David Flitcroft at Port Vale.

 

If he had any doubt as to the fan expectation levels at this club, he shouldn’t have any now.
I compare our expectations in league 2 to that of United in the PL.
We’ve had an awful start as have United with both sets of fans booing the team off at home.
8 games in is irrelevant and Hughes needs to accept that.

 

Ok let's just plod on with a management team that has no idea about football
Keep employing managers who fail time after time and will continue to do so
As you say we are 4th division and likely to remain that way

 

I think it ain’t just Hughes sack hodgson too and Trueman. You have to have a fresh start and new ideas, let who ever comes bring there own men with them. The only issue I can see is some managers don’t like head of recruitment they want to make all decisions like Adams. So could be a stumbling block having Gent there. For me costly taking another manager from a club and paying someone off. But if they can has to be Wild !!!

 

You’re so behind the times of the game or you don’t see how shit the club you support really is.

Both know sod all about football. We lack real football people at the club. We lack experience and knowledge.

Until things change at the top forget about this club moving forward!

 

Having a DOF at this level ultimately means accepting a puppet of a manager just doing what he’s told.
Similar to when Rahic gave himself that role and appointed Collins as manager.
That worked well!

 

Darrell Clarke, or Richie Wellans if he could be tempted back North to drop a division.

 

That simply just isn’t true. Lots of managers enjoy working under that model now. The ones that don’t are the MH types. The managers where the game has left them behind.

 

At the Town game ?.

 

Ok so give an example of another league 2 club who have a DOF. I know you’ll say Gillingham but their recent success has bugger all to do with Kenny Jacket.

 

If by some miracle we could tempt Steve Evans away from lowly Stevenage, I'd go pick him up and drive his fat arse up here myself! We need someone with lower league know how, an effective plan and passion. Hughes has none of these. Were seeing the result now. Failing that, the Cowleys have been out of work for a while, and have proven success in lower leagues. They'd be my choices

 

Idi Amin would definitely motivate the lads. Shame he's no longer available.
