I don't think you should rule anybody out necessarily. When he came, nobody would have said it was possible for us to get Mark Hughes. You don't know what situations and motivations are going on behind the scenes.

Having said that, I wouldn't be looking to replace Hughes at this point in time. We are still only in the settling in start of the season, we are still just about midtable and we are only 3 points off the playoffs. He got us in to the playoffs last year.

If we were to win a couple of matches, which is not at all impossible, it would suddenly look entirely different.

Far too soon to be junking the current project when all the recruitment in the summer was based around the current manager.

 

Well it won't matter, we losing fans every time we play now and a manager who gets us winning and promoted will draw the majority of the fans back, even a Steve Evans figure.

 

Because he'd walk over broken glass to manage us.. he knows he could take us to where Stevenage could only dream about

Lots of reports that Warnock will be stepping down as Huddersfield manager before today and then today he refused to say if he will be manager past their game on Wednesday. If he was to go I could see Darren Moore being of interest to them. Before anyone mentions Warnock personally I wouldn't want him as I don't think he would be committed to the job for any sort of length of time and we would probably looking for his replacement within 12 months

3 points of the play offs? Is that your aim? Wow low standards.

At the start of the season the aim should always but finishing 1st.

Problem is other can we are only 3 or 4 points off the play offs but we are not up there. We look shit, football shite and already it looks like it will be a long season.

 

Yes most people agree with that but changing managers guarantees nothing.especially when you look at the merry go round of managers available. It’s frustrating and boring football but with injured players on the way back still at the moment Hughes is our best hope of achieving something this season. As @baldbantam says two wins and the table will look a lot different

 

I'm happy to see how things develop when we get Pattison, Cook and Chapman back in contention but I'd be expecting a significant upturn in performance and results.

I think Sparks chose Hughes for commercial and not football reasons.

He correctly calculated that the club would create more commercial income by having a big name former Premier League manager. However his lack of lower league managerial experience is now showing.

Derek Adams was the experienced lower league manager which didn’t work so we decided to go in another direction. But it was his personality that was the problem not his experience. We should definitely go for a manager with lower league experience next time.

Absolutely not. He would be another trying to get 4th division players to play Premiership football and fail miserably

 

So far I've been very much in NOT Steve Evans camp but right now I'd take Idi Amin if he could get us out of this God forsaken league.
