Even in the second half Pointon was the only spark with his flicks through that got us going.

 

They were terrible, but nothing will ever be worse than Hope Akpan and Jake Wright for me.

 

I went 5-0. Must have been more hungover than I thought.

The only good thing about that game, is that I had a fiver on Daly to score anytime at 15/1.

Couldn't disagree more if I'm honest. Constantly showed and always wanted to say least play forward. If anything, he was only ineffective because we had Ali Daeis cousin up front.

 

That's a tough debate for sure.

 

No chance. He was our best player today and worked his socks off.

 

All about opinions I guess. Struggled to get in the game and his passing was generally off target. But not the only one, I don't think anyone bar Walker deserved more than a five. Possibly Lewis as he had nothing to do.

 

Yeah, I don't disagree it's probably 5 or 6 at best but for me, Pointon and Walker were at the top end of the scale with the two centre mids and Odour only just being propped up by Afokas terrible debut

 

Listened to the Mark Hughes interview,I see that we have no edge up front and we should be welcoming players back from injury.The desperation in the interview for just one player to be back from injury is a sign of the awful transfers this season.

 

Anyone who says Pointon wasn’t up to it today is clueless. Either clueless or simply wanting to put the lad down after the praise he’s had for whatever reason. Pointon and Walker were decent and linked up well. The rest were 4/10 with Smallwood a 3/10 performance

 

Said all pre season we would be one of the lowest scorers and today proved it. Horrendous recruitment and I would NOT trust those who handled the summer one with the winter one. Seriously looked like a lower mid table team Today. We deserve more.

 

I have been going to VP since 1958 and I cannot think of a squad or Manager who are so void of idea's
No idea what formation they are supposed to be playing
Nobody wants to play for the shirt just the pay packet
A Manager who sits on his arse until 70 minute then makes substitution that don't change anything
Trys to play 2,4,or 5 at the back slow slow &even slower
One up front who can't hold a ball up and if a winger does get away no one in the box to receive a pass
Let's get a Manager in who will have these players train more than 2 hours a day 4 days a week
Someone who can get a tune out off this crap

 

Keep saying under Sparks and Rupp this club is going nowhere no matter who the manager is!!

 

Would Rupp know that was a poor performance though, serious question?

 

Interview after the game, Raynor led with a boos at half time boos at full time comment to which Hughes huffed, gave us a load of bluster about having 10 points (from 8 games mark) and being 7 points off the autos.

Last night, the Salford manager got the same question he responded with it's not good, it's not where we wanted to be, we had our best ever year last year and we've gone backwards.
