I thought Pointon was better than Oduor and Hughes kept him on.

 

Unfortunately factually he's correct, but for anyone who has watched us this season (certainly our last two home games) know that comment is just brushing over the cracks, I though we started well knocking the ball about players running into space for the first 5/10 minutes then back to default mode. what they'd been to do by Hughes.

So MH has come out on live Radio to say the forwards on the pitch are not up to the required standard and that's why we are toothless. YOU brought them in!

Apparently we are shite because Cook, Pattison and Oliver are injured.

Took off Pointon who was our only real spark on the pitch.

Odour was wank. Afoka is the new Aaron McLean-unable to control the ball.

Biggest cheer of the day was when Smallwoood was subbed off.

We scored from an error by their keeper. We were saying all game long to get balls into the box and see what happens. So we decide to do it right near the end.

I said I would judge things around 8-10 games. This set up ain't anywhere near going up so let's get rid of MH now to give us every chance of salvaging the season.

Yep just like I said all along, clear in the first half and didn't even know how to shoot at goal FFS. If they'd had a half decent striker they'd have won this easy today.

I've seen us on TV/online this season but that was the first time live.

All the same inadequacies as last season were there yet some how magnified. We've regressed, significantly.

It was an abysmal watch and quite frankly both teams deserved 0 points. There wasn't 17,500 there today and actual numbers will continue to shrink quickly if we have to continue watching that.

 

Did Gilliead actually play today? Can’t remember anything of note from him. We’re bang average. That transfer window just gone, was a complete waste of time. Our midfield is woeful.

 

I gave up my ST a few years ago. I take in the odd match live. In any other given year, a 5 quid ticket for a League Cup 3rd round game at home to a Championship club would have tempted me down. You couldn't pay me to go to watch the football we play under Hughes.

 

It doesn’t necessarily even need to be that entertaining to be honest. I just want to be promoted with a team that looks committed, sets out on the front foot and creates more than one goal scoring opportunity per game at home against piss poor league 2 sides

 

I can see why you liked Dylan Connelly so much if you don't think Pointon was one of only a couple that actually looked capable of creating something.

 

Gilllead was worse than Smallwood. He either gave it away or had it nicked off him by being indecisive.

Probably the worst central midfield pairing I've ever seen in my near 40 years of going.

 

He’s becoming almost a regular,came to the Orient and Carlisle games at end of last season and this season took in friendlies against Middlesbrough and Rochdale as well as today.

 

Thought Pointon and Walker linked up quite well in the first half without a lot of end result.
Drifted out a little bit in second half and seemed to get a bit deeper.

 

Yeah I agree, only Pointon and Walker came out of that with any sort of respectability.

 

I can see why Oduor was subbed in midweek for his national team after coming on has substitute just for 20mins.

He’s a passenger.

 

Not warning to pick on the lad but he was poor today. Only Walker can come the field with any credit.
