Its his business and he is entitled to draw dividends, we may not like it and wish him to pump millions of his own money in.

Rakealan signed for Stoke in Jan/ Feb time of this year, he was told City would not be offering a contract.

He'll do well to remember that without us the fans, his investment is worth diddly squat.

 

Having seen how we've squandered money by giving 2 and 3 year deals to players who aren't getting in the squad, I can hardly blame him. We have no one at the club with knowledge of this league and what players you need to recruit, hence the scatter gun approach of our last 3 windows. No thought about how the players will fit into a system at all. I mean what system would Ash Taylor fit?

I'm not a Rupp out guy by any stretch because we could have ended up with the crazies at Crawley but clearly the club would benefit from someone with more ambition.

I think dividends are a smoke screen. The team additions and tactics are poo........ 3 years deal for Bambis on ice and can't trap a barn door and we have zero striker back up... even when the other striker (Oliver) was fit he was terrible.... and Smallwood he has lost is Mo and maybe his Jo.... not good boys

 

If Jake Young has 15-20 goals by January do you think Hughes will swallow his pride and bring him back (assuming he is still here!!!)

 

Not a chance. I don't think we'll ever see Young in a city shirt again to be honest unless Hughes leaves and we bring a manager in that likes the look of him.

Knowing City, we'll recall Young in Jan, play him twice off the bench then sell him to Swindon for peanuts..... never done that before....

I'd say no mate. If i were Young i'd ask not to come back as i wouldn't want to play under a manager who doesn't rate me. I don't blame Hughes btw, he made the call based on what he saw of Young every day at the club.

The “long deals” scenario was explained weeks ago. It’s a cheaper alternative than some shorter deals and potential way to get round the fair play rules for some clubs even in the lower divisions.

 

Did we ever see the club publish full accounts? My memory is like a sieve these days?
