What are Stefan's intentions for the Club?

It’s not every defeat it’s 18 month with Hughes of zero improvement and regression . We look hopeless after a transfer window we’re sparks said we were going to be leaner and meaner . We look nothing of the sort and are getting bullied by teams .

We've gone all out for Hughes clearly wanting a back three, signings based on it. He drops out fullbacks after the first game as he clearly doesn't want them as wing backs. We even sign a player for the left and right wing back roles. After.45 minutes of the fourth game we revert to a back four with the same full backs he dropped.

This is not a defence of Hughes in any way. But Adams is right in one thing the club needs stability if it is going to flourish which won’t happen.

 

It wasn’t just the defeat I am concerned about it was the performance. We look chaotic and the majority of players are trying but a selection are getting picked for the team who are not trying.

 

Do you actually see us finishing higher than we did last season ?

 

I agree with you and many others with the comments on Hughes I was raising concern last season. But my point still stands the pressure on the manager at this club is way beyond any other at this level. I doubt any will be allowed to build a team

 

I don’t know probably not but we have now+played 4 league matches 3 of which are away. I want to see how we perform at home before I can answer the above

 

I'm more worried about staying up than going up.

 

The pressure comes from being successful ie earning money. We have 15,000 seasons ticket holder who think that with a very good budget should be able to buy good players and good manager and back room, that should see us make progress. It isn’t the fault of the fans. We have watched teams go up on a show string while we sit here.

 

Today is a good example we are 4 games in 3 of which were away from home. It’s far to early for the sort of reaction we are getting tonight and what’s to come next week.

This is the problem, people keep renewing their season tickets in the expectation of something different. I didn't renew mine this year due to a combination of moving house and not being satisfied with pre-season recruitment.

Bradford City fans are like battered housewives, they keep believing the promises that something will change if they stay, but it never does.

 

We narrowly beat the team who are sitting bottom of the EFL with zero points ,have let in six goals and scored three (league games) and have just been given a footballing lesson by the mighty Morecambe and you are calm about the situation? I am livid that we are sitting 18th in the league and look like a pub team who have just knocked some mates up to fill a starting 11.

Sorry but this isn't a difficult league to get out of. You don't "need time" to build a team.

Richie Wellens appointed at Orient the same time as we did Hughes. In League One.

Steve Evans appointed at Stevenage the same time as we did Hughes. In League One.

Paul Simpson appointed at Carlisle the same time as we did Hughes from a far, far worse position. In League One.

Gillingham - 6 months of proper investment and sat with 4 wins out of 4 and looking likely to go up or certainly be at the business end of the table.

In past seasons Coventry, Bolton and others have all got out at the first attempt.

The context of the anger is we're in our fifth season at this level with crowds way surpassing every other team. We don't utilise our comparative advantages and bumble along. We could forgive one year at this level, even two. But it's our fifth. It is unacceptable.

And it's quite clear that our recruitment isn't up to scratch and despite whatever the club say about being happy with the squad, we've regressed. Fans aren't daft, it's about time we weren't treated as such.

 

When you have an owner that has no interest in the club then there's no accountability.

He doesn't know football, and he's appointed someone who doesn't know football either.

On the commercial side we look better, but all in all that makes this a sustainable asset for Rupp, and as long as we keep emptying our wallets then it makes no difference to him whether we are League 1/2/NL/NLN. Nothing is going to change.
