Yes, it's got Banana Skin written all over this. Can imagine Crawley's pre-match homework will be watching videos of City "playing" it out from the back and getting repeatedly caught. Will give the kids some hope.

 

Im usually weary of shite teams as we are pathetic against them but even im confident of a very comfortable.

 

We don’t do that anywhere near as much on the three showings so far.

 

I hope this continues. Last season, it did not take most other clubs long to suss this out and take advantage. It even felt like at times we pursued this style despite losing the ball throughout the game and knowing we're going to be pressed and pressed again.

Like most on here I think we do need a couple more quality signings in to strengthen, and a couple to go out to enable this. But now the main changes from last season need to come from the manager in both a tactical sense and instilling a robust team mindset.

We will see if this has happened from the offset, and hopefully there will be no City red-faces come the 95th minute a week on Saturday.

I'm sure Scott Lindsey the Crawley manager posts on here, talk about thick, I can't wait for 5th August the way he spoke about some of his squad.

 

Would like to see a statement of intent by Hughes, something like 'anything less than a convincing win will not be contemplated'.
We can but hope.

 

Hopefully that's exactly what he says to the players in the dressing room but in public? No chance, you should never disrespect your opposition like that, whoever they are.

 

Although I'm poking fun at Lindsey the Crawley manager to make a comment like that he's not talking about one player or even a couple it sounds like half the squad aren't up to scratch, now he either has a big squad to pick from or a massive task to get them onside before the start of the season, I believe we'll win the game at Crawley.
