It will be absolutely embarrassing if it's not.

 

I’d expect Crawley to finish bottom with a record low amount of points so anything other than a win is not acceptable.

 

Although I agree with both you and @Petrov over the years first games of the season have thrown up some weird results let's hope we don't add to them, I do think we will have too much for Crawley.

Do they know they're preparing for a season of 90 minute matches?

 

I think it’s just a way of being able to give more players more minutes. The Stockport v Hudders game was going to be the same format but they changed their minds

 

I was trying to put an 11 together but pure guess work. As an example though...

Starting: Lewis, Halliday, Ridehalgh, Odusina, Taylor, Stubbs, Smallwood, Pattison, Walker, Smith, Cook

Subs: Doyle, Oyegoke, Platt, Gilliead, Osadebe, Pointon, Derbyshire

That leaves out: Hendrie, Kelly, Oduor, East, McDonald, Chapman, Young, Youmbi, Oliver

Appreciate 3 of the above are injured and wont make it anyway but they will be back at some point and pushing for a place in the match day 18.

There is talk of another 2 coming in as well. Thats some pretty decent names that won;t make the match day 18 if everyone is fighting fit......

 

I expect more to leave than incoming by end of August, either loan or permanently

 

I could have a stab at a starting 11, but I fail miserably to make the pieces of the jigsaw fit.

I know it’s just as an example, but I reckon Oyegoke in for one of Stubbs, Taylor or Halliday and you’re petty much bang on there for the starting 11 as it stands

 

Surely Hendrie and Young.............after that I am unsure unless its the kids Youmbi and Rowe.

 

Yes, I reckon Youmbi and Rowe will be going out on loan. I reckon they had the same plan in mind for Pointon, but his early pre season form may have changed their mind and could now be considered first team squad material.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Platt, Odusina and East leave too.

 

I am with you on East - I dont see where he fits in and will be a long way down the pecking order when everyone is fit. He didnt get a sniff last season and with Pattison and McDonald its now even harder.

I wouldnt be shocked if a CB left the club. I am not sure it will be Odusina though. He apparently prospers as part of a 3 and gives us a bit of pace at CB.

 

According to their manager half their squad aren't good enough and won't ever play for him but there's nothing to be concerned about!
