New kit

At least we only need one other kit now, dark blue should cover it, no rip off 3rd kit this year.

I don't get the moaning. The kit is secondary to the football witnessed. This kit was average ... but the football was great

 

Not sure about Newcastle but you are probably right. But we have ditched the stripes before.
I am sure we will have stripes again soon probably next season, but it’s nice to see something different for once

 

I think it's decent. I may be mad but I like it.

 

If its something different from stripes now and then, surely it should be an all claret shirt with amber trimmings, not stripes tilted sideways

 

Not a fan of the home shirt, unfortunately. Looking forward to the away strip and third kit - hopefully, we'll get something similar to the dark blue one as that was fantastic. I do like the goalkeeper tops, though. May grab one of those. Can't remember the last time I bought a 'keeper shirt.

 

Just been down and bought the home kit and goalie ones for my lad for his birthday . The keeper ones are brilliant best for years ! I think the home kit will be a grower . It’s not outstanding but it’s decent enough . Harry Lewis is down there been his good old friendly self . Drinks and pizza are also on offer

 

Just pointing out teams like Newcastle and others quoted by @Jayteebee have not changed the design of their main home strip in the past, I bet if Newcastle had a poll with regards changing their home shirts there would be a massive vote to keep the strips, although I do agree we have had some decent alternative home shirts in the past.
With regards our latest strip we see from this thread it falls in the middle of "its O/K & "it's poor", I think the club would have hope it would have received better than our little poll which is a very small amount with regards our fan base, sales will dictate if its a success or not I'm not keen on it but hope we sell out.

 

I started my City watching career in 1954 and for the whole of that decade the shorts were white and the shirts never had stripes - I guess that's why I'm never going to get wound up about the style of the kit as long as Claret and Amber predominates.

 

Now I've seen it properly, it's horrible. Hate the white collar.

Ours is growing on me, but will reserve further judgement til I see us play a couple of friendlies in it!

The strip on the right hand top corner in the first picture would look better if the socks were Claret, similar to our strip back in season 1972/73 worn by the likes of Ronnie Brown, Alan Gilliver and Gerry Ingram.

 

I think its well smart. Like the collar, love the white shorts.

Not excited about the price though. Gonna cost me the guts of €100 between price and shipping to Ireland.
