Will Stefan Rupp Appear?

^^^^^^^^^^ 100% no axe to grind with the man but as yourself I'm amazed he went into a partnership into a business he knew nothing about and a partner he knew even less about, he only needed to Google "Edin Rahic" and alarm bells should have started ringing.

 

He probably regrets that. Hence, the 'I'll leave you where I found you' stance on a takeover.

 

I've spoken to a few fellow fans who have had dealings with Rupp (one a business man who Rahic screwed and Rupp offered to compensate him but he refused so Rupp left a massive tip for his staff) they all say he comes across a genuine honest man, so yes I get it with regards your above comment, maybe at 75 years old I'm in more of a hurry than you young uns .

Well they have both taken the club as far as they can.

In Rupps case - backwards!

 

How has Ryan sparks taken them backwards?

 

For starters he doesn’t wear socks

 

Tbf to Rupp me personally I neither like him nor dislike him, yes during his tenure we have obviously gone backwards, but it's clear he's not a Bradford City fan so runs the business by what the club generates is what it can spend. Now at L2 level this shouldn't be a problem as we should still generate a highly competitive budget, if we were n L1 then this approach would require good clever recruitment to compete top end otherwise we be mid table fodder at best.
The problem suddenly arises should we ever make the Championship in which case Rupp would have to make a decision by does he carry on the business method and we instantly drop back to L1 or does he take a punt and throw a few quid in? I like to think he's happy to plod along in L1/L2 with a sustainable model but with the intentions of having a bit of gamble should we somehow make the Championship.

 

Fully agree with you his purchase of our club up to now is definitely questionable, but my comment is more based on hope than anything else, as despite us plodding along with a sustainable model I'm hoping he may fancy a gamble should we ever make it to the Championship and then throw a few quid at it.

 

I'm pretty sure Sparks was quoted as saying 'Stefan understands when we get to the Championship, he'll need to put some money in'.
You could argue we'll need some cash putting in to compete at the top end of League 1. Those top 7 were on a different planet to the other 17 teams.

 

Before everyone casts their opinions about the motives and integrity of the ones in charge let’s judge them by their actions. We have a good solid supporter base and local businesses want their name associated with the club. We also have a manager who has spoken of the potential of the club and is fully committed to the club’s long term vision.
Let’s look at getting out of this god awful division and judge them on how we progress. Since the days of frequently sacking managers who don’t bring the desired results we now have a plan and a vision to move forward.

Most of your comments with regards local business and sponsors have only come back on board because Rahic went and julian started building bridges again with those businesses and sponsors Rahic totally pissed off Ryan taking it a big step forward the club gaining back its respect..
I'm not a vindictive man but for the life in me I can't honestly understand why a man made millionaire got into business with a man he knew little about and a business he knew nothing about, he has shown he cares about the club by sticking with us and trying to put right Rahic's wrongs, along with Ryan things are looking good going forward but I can't understand for the life in me how Stephan was taken in by a fraudster without a very in-depth back ground check.

 

Which this week have been shocking . From not having the website set up correctly before launching home tickets . No information regarding buying your own seat until all hell broke loose . No information for away tickets when the club received them well in advance . Points for pies and a silly idea of if getting a mate to run a trip to Spain with no flight information and only been able to attend if you book threw there inflated packages . Daily emails selling membership scheme for £40 were you get a scarf in summer as a thank you . The same scarf as last year. That’s all in the last 7 days . There amateurs at best who have no idea how to run a football club

All leading upto a major game …

 

Got to give credit for Sparks and his colleagues especially Davide Longo who have probably got business and sponsors on board in the last couple of years better than Rhodes and Lawn achieved. Still not had a cup run since 2015 which would have been a disaster for the previous regime.

 

I would agree that over the last 12-18 months there has been a fair bit of good work going on behind the scenes, but this past week has highlighted that in terms of communication with fans, things appear to have taken a step backwards.
