The Voice - Match preview Crewe Alexandra vs Bradford City Wednesday 3rd May @ 7:45pm

Friday night game. We were 2-0 down and came back to win 3-2. Not sure of the scorers.

 

If we win tonight and other results go our way I would expect people to be logging on at home buying tickets and them to be cleaned out.

 

My lad twisted my arm and we got our tickets yesterday, convinced me this is the game that takes us up. He is still young and not as emotionally scarred as me.
He will learn

 

I can’t honestly recall. Remember running across the cricket field, mass scrap at the back of the home end, wall fell over, the home “support” faded away somewhere in the ground!

 

Yeah, I mentioned yesterday that I removed the "school night" rule for this game. She can sleep in the car on the way back as a one off.

I'm actually in bits the more I think about tonights game, I was fine when the ball wasn't in our court but now we have a clear path to promotion that doesn't rely on favours elsewhere the nerves have for some reason really kicked in.

 

That was the Darlington away game Kev. Bronco was asking about the Southend home game which was our final home game that season.

 

Although My Dad and Grandad had been taking me a couple of years by then, that game against Southend was the earliest game I can vividly recall watching and taking in what it meant for us

 

Remember it well and the brick wall at the front behind goal going over, and some scrapping in cricket ground. If I remember correctly, I think I must have slammed school to go up on coach.

Oh sorry , yes I recall the Southend game well. One of the finest examples of a crowd gettin behind a losing City I ever remember. I was in the Bradford End. Absolutely mental in there.

Then the police moved us City fans to the other end stopping the game for around 20 minutes when we were 1 - 0 down at the time never looked back after returning and as we know ran out 3 - 1 winners on the night Bobby Ham and Bruce Bannister and an OG, I believe Patsie & Tommy were the instigators that night we took their end.

 

From memory (it was so long ago), I can just about remember Bannies goal - shirt cuffs in fist like Denis Law.

I don't think many fans are aware there are still seats available. Certainly no tweets or official communication from the club about it.

A simple Twitter post from the club and they'll be snapped up very quickly.

Edit - final few days of Season Ticket sales explains why there's no mention of Crewe availability!

 

Very unlikely now that this match will be the ones that secures top 3, more likely to be the one that secures top 7 so think we will do well to sell out whatever the remaining allocation is
