I forgot to add we help fund the sports facilities at Woodhouse Grove, swimming pool, G4 and grass football pitches, gym, I wonder if he gives free car washes to the community.

Yes, if it was not for the football, he would have packed in years ago.

No , They do not do them anymore, so he would have definitely gone out of business.

 

Absolutely no problem with the idea behind it, what difference would it make leaving it until tomorrow to launch, when the phone lines and systems might be quieter.

 

Although apparently it doesn’t matter it’s good to hear the ticket office and shop are packed today, hopefully a good sign.

I do think the club missed a trick yesterday with a week to go, an open day with players etc. with the feel good atmosphere around the place atm could have helped drive sales up even further. Could have had the ticket office and shop open and offered people free signatures and what not.

 

Can you move seats via the website or do you need to phone or go to the ticket office?

 

You need to phone or go to the ticket office. I had no joy on the phone first thing this morning, so went down.

 

Nice idea but I'm not sure it would generate that many new season ticket sales. A lot of people would probably turn up with kids to meet the players, have photos taken with them etc, but I bet the vast majority would be existing season ticket holders rather than newbies. Better to let all the lads have a proper day off and recover for Tuesday.

 

Even a few is enough, season tickets are going well but near 3000 or whatever it is still to renew that’s a lot of regular custom to attract. They wouldn’t need to do it this weekend it could be when a weekend is free, deadlines can be moved. Something different rather than a few tweets might help.

 

Give us some examples of what you mean by investing in the community outside of private training facilities and how that could make Bradford a better place?

Maybe some of these would help?
Plant claret and amber flowers on grass verges (not the ones where the cars are frequently parked of course)
Take out the green light on traffic lights and just have claret and amber lights that are ignored anyway.
Have "up the fecking chickens" displayed on them new traffic/information alert boards dotted around the district.

Someone was doing their bit to promote City in the Rochdale community. Walking to the ground lots of parked cars had been adorned with "up the f#cking chickens" stickers

 

Yes saw loads of those stickers on my walk from Rochdale Sports Club to the ground

 

True, but if those 3000 aren't inspired to renew by what they are seeing on the pitch, I'm not sure anything else is going to make them do it.
