Oliver and Cook together is suicide. No pace in that attack at all. Play them both and we lose 0-3 minimum

 

I love how opinions can vary so much. Listening on the radio tonight and they are saying it's a great game with 2 good teams up against oneanother. Carlisle edging it, particularly the last 15-20 mins though.

I think it’s fairly even. They’ve had more in our final third but we’re defending well. When we get on the front foot it’s imperative Banks and Chapman create. Both look rusty having been out of the team for so long, First team to score could go on and win this. Let’s hope it’s us.

 

It’s not it’s pretty end to end.

 

There's no pace in the side anyway. But at least we'd have an out ball that we don't have playing this way.

 

I don’t see one upfront working (esp at home). Cook has too much to do the ball needs to be in areas to cause them problems, it’s been a lot of solid effort but not much to show for it, cutting edge lacking.

 

If that's the same radio commentary that accompanies the ifollow footage, they're talking b*locks.

 

LOL. Although, I do rate Morais' opinions. He seems to be fair in his views and provides an interesting insight at times.

 

Think they are getting a bit too giddy on radio Leeds. It’s been quite poor overall imo.

 

Coverage has been good and fair IMO.
Carlisle are very well drilled. We started decent enough, Banks looks sharp and up for it and to be fair to Chapman there was the right intent. As the half went on Carlisle got a hold of the game and been on the front foot.

The midfield 3 have done well so far, credit to Gillead and Smallwood who have been much improved vs recent performances.

We’ve really got to get on the front foot for the second half. Get Banks and Chapman into the game much more, Chapman needs to pick his chin up and keep at it as he looked frustrated and a little lost at the end of the first half.

This is a tough game - we’ve got to take it to Carlisle right from the off.

 

I generally agree re. Morais. But they've remarked several times how well we're playing and how we raise our games against the better sides.

We've had 1 shot on goal that went miles over, none on target and no spell of control or pressure.

 

Why does chapman with 1 goal this season think he can score from 30 yards out

 

These have looked good haven’t they. A point wouldn’t be the worst result tonight.

 

Carlisle are well drilled. Impressive in an understated way - they've controlled it and I hope I'm wrong but I see them getting in front then turning the screw.

I had to chuckle at how the radio commentary spoke in glowing terms about the positive body language and energy our players were showing. 50 seconds into the game.

 

Zero shots on target. Not good enough.

 

It started off fairly even but possibly only because they were struggling to work out our formation and settle. Once they got their rhythm they applied more and more pressure and finished the last ten minutes of the first half on top and pushing for a goal.

In comparison we waned and became less effective attacking wise and relied on fast attacks or counter attacks.

4-2-3-1 is probably our most balanced formation. I'm not really sure why he went for this 4-3-3

 

Brilliant from Cook. Deserved a bit of luck at the end there.

 

How does Cook do that every game? That's premier league level of control of the ball

 

So coaching badges automatically means that you understand the game better. I assume that you have done them all and hence your knowledge is far superior to the average forumite on here. Perhaps a bit of championship manager wouldn't go a miss either... Get off your high horse mate. If anything helps one's understanding, it is playing the game at a decent level.
