It was difficult first half but the pitch played. much better second half and once again we didn't do the business, I honestly don't get why once Rochdale had scored Hughes didn't make at least two subs Walker for Chapman a blind man could see he offered little and bring your leading scorer on FFS it's not rocket science.

TWO STEPS FORWARD THREE STEPS BACK

Still no Jake Young? Infuriating! Rochdale no win in 7 games, but obviously they’ll skip in to VP and take all 3 points. O Donnell will be a very happy man, good on him, particularly after listening to those obnoxious hecklers. Time to spend some money Hughes, this predictable and repetitive routine is getting tiring, not just for the fans - but players alike, the opposition however well……

The ref didn't decide the game Kev. Our awful performance did.

Very little fight in this squad when things going against them.

They just bottle it against teams who scrap and want it more in a battle.

    Unforgivable

Credit Ian Henderson, still a threat at the age of 76. Thought their penalty was harsh but they did hit the post with Lewis beaten.

It was awful to watch. Not used to fighting out in the mud. Well if they want to be on top for the rest of the season they had better get used to it.

We lack leaders, it’s no coincidence that as soon as we go a goal down it’s game over. Only the equaliser against Wimbledon is the one time we have come back.

Still vulnerable at the back,Smallwood more a liability than creative and little offered in front of goal up front.Too many of this team are 5/10 not enough 7 or 8/10. Abo was great and continues to cause problems. If we think we will be promoted because we make less mistakes than our opponents don't think so..we should be giving no mercy to teams like Rochdale.. Again a team that could knock it around and look like world beaters inspite of their league position. Ref certainly handed them the game, but our form is way below what is consistently required. We have the skills but are not knitting it all together. Feel sorry for those fans that endured a soggy evening and our inability to even grab a point.

I watched on ifollow. In real time I thought it was a joke decision but the replay left me understanding why it was given, even if it was a touch harsh. Equally though, the penalty was saved and Henderson was quickest to react. Our lads were on their heels, as they were all game.

And similarly, I thought the challenge on Eisa in real time was a pen but the replay left me wondering whether it was Eisa or their defender who changed the direction of the ball.

The ref wasn't as bad as people might think. Or at least, the responsibility for the result lies with us, not the ref.

I wish fans would stop clamoring for Jake Young. He’s not very good, folks.

Probably the first time O'Donnell has played at Valley Parade and not had a shot to save in the second half.
We all know he is poor at stopping attempts from outside the penalty area..
Gary Jones has become a right moaner as a co commentator.

The lads get a free pass from me tonight due to poor conditions. I am more than happy to stick the knife in when we are crap but the ref has decided that one - plain and simple. Two coin toss decisions that both went in Rochdale’s favour and changed the direction of the game.

We tried to knock it about but the ball got stuck in the mud and disrupted our rhythm.

Eisa took his goal very well. Well done lad - he’s proving his worth.

I thought the ref should have been a bit more sympathetic to the conditions - Crich and Platt were among those given yellows when others would have let it go.

chapman has zero end product and needs a spell out of the side.

Foulds had a bad night, but nobody bar Eisa was better than a 6/10 were they. Was tough in the boggy ground under the stands.

That said, without the lifeline handed by the ref, I don’t think they’d have pegged us back tonight - especially if we’d bagged a pen to go 2-0 up.
