We know you sneak up to Harlow Carr! ;)

I tend to go to The Old Bell when I am in Harrogate (or the Coach & Horses).:)

I wish a few of our first team "choice" players had said that Boxing day morning to Hughes, the bit about lacking any "appetite or energy" appears to be more of a long-standing issue for some of them though!!

    Our most threatening players are;
    • Cook - goals
    • Wright - assists and goals
    • Banks - assists and goals
The others such as Chapman, Eisa, Pereira have had nice moments but haven't contributed to goals or assists aside from the odd one so those three need to be in the team with the back four @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart has and that leaves four spaces.

    I wouldn't mind seeing a 4-3-3

Could be Cook, Wright and Banks or Chapman at the top or Banks could play more in midfield as he likes to run with the ball and out Chapman up top.

I think we can make 4-3-3 work well with the players we have.

The midfield 3 wouldn’t work at all with who we have in the squad. I agree that 4-3-3 would be far better than our current setup though.

Agree it is worth considering. I saw the lad born in Leeds score a decent brace in that 4-3-3-formation last night!;)

We've got no midfield as it is and you want to play two wingers in there?

Got a cold, so can't go tonight, and thus trying to sign up to ifollow for the first time. Doing it via City website, but every time I click on the link it shows the message "There was an error, please try again!" This has been going on for half an hour now. Anyone know if there is another way to sign up?

Felt like utter crap all week, but i will be there. surely we will see a change in formation and a home win, i am starting to forget what a victory looks like at Valley Parade.

Well the alternative is to stick with the same formation that worked so well at Carlisle.
Or go 4-4-2 with Gillead in the middle sacrificing Oliver up front.
If you haven’t got any other viable suggestions then maybe that’s the problem Hughes has.
He can only select players that are available.

I'm going. If only to sit in amazement that Alex Gillead actually get paid to do that.

How about just select an actual centre midfielder in the central midfield role? You know, such as East, Sutton or Songo?

I'm really not sure how on earth you ended up with Wright and Chapman playing there with Oliver playing on the right?

Surely you can see that's a very strange line up?

I’ve seen nothing from East, Sutton or Songo to suggest any of them should play instead of RS and AG.
I just think we need to somehow get our creative players and goal scorers on the pitch at the same time.
If tonight is a yawn fest ending in defeat then the fans will turn on Hughes big time

    At their corners…
Put someone with pace on the half way line. Give them something to think about….
If I was MH I’d have two on the half way line, one flicker and one with pace.
Come on boys, this is the night, auto’s charge, fecking attack them!!!!

I’ve not been on here for a while, as I’ve been a bit disillusioned with City recently and dare I say completely losing interest.

I wasn’t going to go tonight but my lad wants to. I did give him the option of going out for a curry or City, and he chose the football.

The players at the minute don’t seem to have any fight or heart. Coupled with the fact we’re playing Harrogate who’ve out performed us everytime we’ve played them (including when we beat them earlier in the season), I can only see us losing again tonight. Especially as they’ve won 3 on the trot and we’ve lost 4 on the trot.

Not looking forward to this at all. I hope the players prove me wrong but I’m expecting a miserable night.

My first mid week game in a few years..

I want to see 95 minutes of effort.. and a convincing win. Anything less, I'll be leading the charge for MH, SR, RS to feck off.

You still need a team shape and round pegs in round holes, regardless of who you actually pick though. East may not have contributed much but he's still a much better pick in central midfield than Tyreik Wright, just as Tyreik Wright is a much better pick playing right of a striker than Oliver would be.
