Absolutely sick of saying it. We will not get promotion with Smallwood as our captain. What I’d give for a player like Darren Pratley

He'd score even fewer goals than Smallwood.

    Goals are the problem.

We'd get nowhere with Pratley playing in this team.

Playing it backwards and across the defence, only to lose it to a 50/50, is criminal and irritating

You musty have seen more than me with respect to bringing Oliver on, even though Cook is having a poor game I don't see what Oliver offers to the side certainly not pace or movement, I would defiantly bring Walker for Chapman at the start of the second half.

The strikers overall play is the problem. If he doesn't hold the ball up then we can't progress and get in behind their defence as often as we would like. He may score goals in patches, but overall play isn't there

Totally disagree. I ain’t arsed about pratley scoring. Games are generally won and lost in midfield, as proved in the first half. The mood in the stand here at Orient would suggest so too

    Overall play isn't really a striker's aim.

Getting goals is a striker's aim.

But if you've got a striker who is scoring goals, then he's already taking away the focus of the defence - which should open the door for other players to score.

That's pretty obviously where the issue we have lies.

We can dissect it as much as we want, it's simply been down to one team taking their chances and one team not. And that's football in a nutshell. We've played worse than that this season and won.

Well he might have 16 goals now, but he wont get another 5, i'ts like playing with ten men. And get that soft lad Gillied off, what a nancy offers his foot in like he is testing the temperature in a swimming pool.

We are too reliant on Cook for goals and Critchlow at the back.

A fair bit of movement in the transfer market required in January to maintain our top 7 place. A considerable distance from being a top 3 side.

    The midfield trio, for me.

Smallwood is off form, Gilliead isn't a midfielder, and Chapman is an atrocious attacking midfielder in terms of output.

Most of the season he's done that you don't score 16 goals without working the opposition defenders but today he's second best, it wont be easy to get back into this game but we've shown we can make chances, they've taken 2 of their 3 chances where as we haven't.
I believe it was you who was telling everyone every one when Willens went to Doncaster he was not the man for Bradford City ?.

In this formation I'd take a 7 goal striker who could more than once in a season bring another player into play.

Cook is well out of his depth. We will not go up with him as our main striker (which I know is a crazy thing to say as he is the leagues top scorer), but I feel he is the weak link and is stopping us from playing how Hughes wants us to. We need someone with pace and movement up there, to bring in Chapman, Wright and Banks into the game further up the pitch (see Leyton Orients forward).

Cooks touch, fitness and footballing awareness are all not up to scratch.
The problem is I don't think Oliver is the answer either - I worry we don't have the right sort of striker at the club; potentially the Lee Angol who finished last season (but not the one who has played so far this).
