    Perhaps it’s because English stands are (mostly) on the pitch side, unlike continental football, where they are about a mile away/upwards from the action.

    It might be my memory playing tricks on me but didn't we use to chant 'come on you yellows' at corners. I seem to remember the old scoreboard put those words up as a graphic too. Must have been back in the days of the standing kop of the mid 90s.

    It's a corner Norman Corner.....

    As an aside, watching the Bundesliga game between Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund this evening and it was mentioned that Dortmund have had the highest number of corners in the league but have yet to score from one.
