We have sold out the home end every game imagine Crawley will be the first that won't be as we havnt won at home yet hoping this is our opportunity as they seem a mess

The away end is segregated as we sold out the home ends with the season tickets so the club made it mandatory 1200 for the away team and 800 ish in the corner for home fans as otherwise it is just a few restricted view seats available. It's annoying for games like this, Doncaster and Mansfield because no doubt they would all be decent away followings and could do 3-4k on a good day but the other 20 teams being 300 max (well so far) so I suppose it's more beneficial for the club to keep the fans happy with that extra home capacity

Yeah we know the feeling. Grimsby are one of only a handful of teams who will bring a decent support to us so it was good to see you promoted last season. You appeared to have sold out the full allocation at Salford last week from what I saw.

Hopefully follow up the fantastic win at Salford with another professional display at Grimsby this Saturday...using the Burton game tomorrow to give the fringe players some fitness and shooting practice

Grimsby not so strong at home this season. Won last time out, 3-0 vs Crawley but 1st home league win.

A game I would like to think we are targeting to win, especially with our current away form.

I thought that the home side had to give a percentage of the ground capacity to the visiting team?
Have I got that wrong, can the home side allocate some of that to home fans??
    Confused!!

That’s FA Cup from memory. League I don’t think there is a mandated rule.

Yes, you're right. Home teams have to allocate a set amount to away fans. In the EFL, the away allocation is 2,000 or 10% of the ground's capacity if lower. It's slightly higher in the PL (3,000 or 10% if lower) and a little different in the FA cup games - 15% of capacity.

    Surprised at what?

The capacity rules have been in place for many, many years.

    Their away form is sensational.
Seeing their goals from the Stockport game they look to have pace on the counter attack so maybe they like to sit back and soak up pressure then hit teams on the break, but if someone goes to Blundell Park and plays a counter attacking game, they struggle to impose themselves.
Looking at their stats, the games where they have possession and lots of passes they tend to lose. Matches where they make less than 300 passes they've won!!!
    Interesting.
If we are patient which we have been under Hughes then a repeat of Saturdays result or a 2-0 might be on the cards.

    Thanks for the info, Dennis.
I see that Blundell Park has a capacity of 9052, so we can expect a maximum of 905 tickets.
