I think you need to be careful what you wish for. 11 goals in 12 appearances will do for me at present.

If the goals dry up then fine, but at the moment I'd say its best to stick rather than twist with the striker role.

That said, Angol looked good in Chapmans role, perhaps there's an opportunity to get him in almost alongside Cook?

As i've said previous regarding Chapman he's a wide player doing us a job at 10 while Walker is out. Angol comes in and always does great without doubt. What a great problem to have, when Walker is back I think we will be a different side with Chapman then pushing the wide players for a start.

Based on current form, I’d be tempted to start Angol as a withdrawn second striker / no. 10 and move Chapman to the wing, with Pereira dropping to the bench.

Well that was worth staying up until 3am for. I’m getting used to celebrating in silence when we score so I don’t wake up the Mrs.

i thought we looked really good until we scored, then were absolutely pants until Angol and Sutton came on.

I like Morais as a co commentator, he was right in my opinion that man for man we are a better team than Harrogate, but as soon as we scored the effort and intensity completely dropped.

Standouts for me were Lewis again who made a couple of ridiculous saves, and Wright and Foulds were great down the left.

It’s costing me money and sleep now that City are doing well but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I thought Matty Foulds had an excellent game yesterday. He's defensively sound but also has an eye for a pass and a trick or two going forward. Links well with Wright, who is looking like a fantastic signing.

Platt is emerging as a genuinely class act.

Not sure what's up with Dion. After a really positive close season with Luton he's looked a liability since returning here.

Chapman is a fish out of water at 10. Just doesn't get involved in games. As soon as he moves wide he comes alive. When Walker returns our creativity should improve enormously.

Angol looks so much better playing centrally than wide left. With him on we won free kicks in dangerous areas and the ball stuck up front instead of just coming back at us constantly. His pass for Wright's goal was sublime. I'd like to see MH give him a try in the hole behind Cook and play Chapman wide instead of Pereira.

RE Pereria, I agree he was poor overall and rightly withdrawn but for the first 10 minutes he looked our most likely player to create something or score. It's just a shame that's about the only 10 minutes of the season so far that he's looked like the 'old' Pereria.

Correct Dave, at the moment he’s well behind Banks for the right sided position . Something isn’t right with him.?

I think Cook and Smallwood probably know Jameson, who is from the same area as Smallwood I think Jameson might have started at Middlesbrough, before going to Darlo, then York, then Harrogate. It seemed friendly enough between him and Smallwood.

I'm not sure at 32 in October Cook is going to change his game, Hughes knows what Cook offers given service he's not going to drop the Leagues second highest goal scorer, I can't agree with your highlighted he let's the defender win the ball, in the Wimbledon game he had his shirt ripped off his back by their CB trying to win headers with his back to goal.
Oliver wasn't brought on until the 79 minute and we were already 2 - 1 up, I'll agree Angol makes a difference he is a very good technical player and IMO he was wasted where Hughes has been playing him, he looks a different player playing inside.
It wasn't Cooks best game he wasn't alone but after we scored we looked like we'd taken our foot of the gas allowing Harrogate chance to get back in the game.

Agree the run from Wright gave Angol the option to play the pass but a quality finish from Wright (not having a pop) but Harrats one on one was much easier as he had the whole goal to aim at Wright chipped him at the near post.

Maybe saying to Jameson take no notice he's as daft as a brush, he likes his banter does Andy and it looks like Wright does, is that you @shoatsy@shoatsy or @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam celebrating in their end **so funny.

    Agreed.

Often most of Chapman's best work is when he's attacking a full back in and around the box, as with the Harrogate penalty, so he should be pushing for a wider role.

And Angol playing in the 10 role means we can mix it up and play more direct at times when teams are pressing us, without compromising Cook's position and goals. Teams will then be discouraged from pressing us as much, as we've more bodies up top, meaning our defense and midfield can start playing out from the back again. And Angol has the football brain and ability to drop deeper and link play up.

Hopefully this variety of play would see us start dominating games.

I agree it wasn't Cook's best performance but he was up against Rory who I felt played him very well, especially considering he has had a long spell out injured. Although I was disappointed that Rory dominated Cook so well it was quite refreshing that McArdle did it without resorting to wrestling or trying to pull the shirt off his back. Rory McArdle may be getting on a bit but as defenders go he is still a class act.

Agree Dion looked dangerous early in the game but faded after our goal, not by himself may I add, he looks a bit of an enigma you never know what your gonna get from the lad, where as Wright looks to be the more direct player.

Wright has a much better football brain than Pereira. He knows when to take a risk and when to play the safer pass. I don't think he has the same degree of trickery as Dion but more than makes up for that by his sheer pace. Defenders at this level mostly cannot live with out and out pace, whereas they can often bully a small trickster like Pereira.
As well as his attacking threat, Tyreik has got us out of jail defensively on several occasions, using his pace to get back and nick the ball from opposing attackers in dangerous situations.
He looks a real find. I guess the chances of us signing him permanently are pretty low, but it would be a real capture if we could

Yes on the couple of times I've seen Wright he's impressed, where as Dion for all his ability doesn't seem to know when to let the ball go, which must be irritating for his team mates when to make the run into the box, although having said that Beagrie could be guilty and as frustrating at times but it didn't stop Mills getting 24 goals in the promotion season.

Possibly but I'm not convinced by his attitude. He just not do the dirty yards, tracking back, spoiling play, enough for me and I reckon that is prerequisite of this Hughes team

A couple of things to keep in mind
    1. We're still very much a work progress at the moment. The good news is that there's potentially much more to come from this team. The even better news is that we're not playing at our best but winning games.
    2. Our loan signings aren't the finished article. If they were - they wouldn't be playing for us. They're on loan to get experience and knock the rough edges off their game. Dion will 'grow' with us this season. I'm absolutely sure that MH and the coaching staff are working with him and the other loanees to sharpen their skills.
