Hull - league cup

Tuesday games are always lower that Saturday games, it's also the school holiday's. This attendance will also be a truer reflection of the actual number of people attending rather than in league games where we have 14,000 season ticket holders which are counted whether they turn up or not. We also probably get some season ticket holders who know or don't want to attend every game but get a season ticket as it's cheaper especially u11s where they only need to come to 6 games to get their value.
The reality for us is the cup attendances have never really changed even when season tickets sales have gone up or down.

 

It’s the same everywhere not just at City. First round cup ties don’t attract many, just check other clubs gates next Tuesday, they’ll all be well down on a normal league game. FA cup will be the same in early rounds.

 

Tell that to two fat ones that wander round my garden looking for the tree they once lived in (after I cut it down). It's starlings that have gone. Remember the millions that used to swoop over the City Centre back in the 70s ?

Opening the upper tiers along with the NW corner wasn’t the best idea - just under 18,800 seats.

The lower main stand and Kop holds just under 8,400 - more than enough for a game of this calibre.

Just under 2,000 sold in the home ends.

A decent result and performance at the weekend will help the figures. Hull have sold 1,400 - they’re on their third block.

I expect a crowd of around 6,500 - with a 70/30 split.

 

Can you clarify the debate as to whether the tickets sold with seat numbers on them are indeed valid for any seat within the appropriate area..?

 

That’s my understanding, yes.

So arrive early if you want your beloved seat(s).

I don’t think the club see it as a problem, as both stands will be circa 50% full. However, those who have purchased a specific seat might be a little disgruntled to find that actually it’s a free for all. Namely, the 346 seats sold in block C - Main Stand - if Jamie-boy from Canterbury who purchased his seat in block F wants to move more central, he can do.

I rang the ticket office. Seating for the Hull game is unreserved. The seat numbers on the tickets mean nothing.
