looking at the ticket website, we will be lucky to get a 5000 crowd. Can not have sold many more than 1000 so far.
You will have 10 seats each at this rate.
£15 admission ,when live on sky will be too much for some . You could watch it in the pub and spend the money on beer.
Bit of an own goal i think by the club.

Not really, Sky money would be guaranteed income, from the get go. Ticket sales not necessarily so?

I don’t know Andy. If it is that’s 3,000 peoples gate money. Can’t expect that many more would attend over and above those going anyway?

Sorry but how is Bradford v Hull a derby? They're 70 miles apart! There must be at least 25/30 clubs closer to Bradford than Hull!!

The attendance will be pretty much standard because it isn't a derby and Hull fans won't fancy the 3 hour round trip on a Tuesday night to watch a match they should win pretty easily.

It's not so much my particular seat. It's more that having it reserved would have guaranteed me a seat in C Block, which has a particularly good view on the halfway line and is always the first to fill up when there's unallocated seating. So instead of being able to walk in five minutes before kickoff, I'll have to arrive early to guarantee a good seat.
As Northern Monkey says, first world problems. I'll get over it.

I better get my usual seat. The wife and kids know I'm working late, so they better not be sat in my seat on the sofa when I get home to watch the match.

How can you go from 19,000 on Saturday to less than 5,000 , not the massive club we think we are ?

Just standard behaviour for the first rounds of the cup, nobody really cares unless it's a rival. Last year, Notts forest had 9,500 fans for our 1st rounder against them, then 25,000 were there the Saturday. In 19/20 we had 14,800 at home against Cambridge then only 3,500 came to watch us vs Preston in the cup. Year before that, attendance of 1400 away at Macclesfield for the cup. Before that we had over 20,000 for the first game of the season against Blackpool then just over 3,000 showed up for the cup game.

Nothing to do with club sizes, just nobody gives a toss. I can only think of Leeds at home or Huddersfield away in the last decade where fans went to early round cup games. I imagine you'll get some sort of loyalty points boost for buying a ticket? Which might incentivise some into going but when it's on the tele, even less interest in leaving the house for it.

I can’t believe people would rather go out and sit in the pub and watch it than go out and go to the ground and watch it in person. I know where I’d rather be, and that’s at VP.
