Disappointed that Avec will no longer be the supplier - they’ve done great kits and gear over the years. I quite often buy other stuff from their online store for running in etc and it’s really good.

Avec is the Windsor World of Shoes of football kits, Bargain basement like the team and CEO. No club with self respect would wear Avec.

Not sure why I’m giving you air time that’s on me, but the club will go with whichever manufacturer brings in most money and rightfully so it effects our budget. It’s irrelevant what brand name it is if it gives the club money to spend. It’s also irrelevant if Windsors world of shoes is cheap if the turn over good profits then it’s a good business simple as that. I’d rather own Ford than Ferrari for instance as they bring in far more money despite being the far cheaper car. Not everyone is a snob people buy what they can afford.

Windsor also sell more expensive brands as well as the cheaper unbranded stuff.

That's because Nike own Avec, they also have other brands (not just sports wear) within the Nike Group.

Similar to VW owning Skoda, Audi, Seat etc but brands more below the line with less well known brand names

As long as we get rid of that horrible white home kit and bring back our infamous claret and amber stripes (preferably with black shorts and socks!) I couldn't give a toss who makes the kit

Hopefully we return to keeping a kit for longer than 12 months, maybe alternate which one changes

Nobody does that anymore, it's a revenue stream for the club

I don't agree with a new kit every season, I remember the days like you alluded to when it was every two years. But heck it's not even just two kits a season now it's bloody three. Big market these days football merchandise.

There's a chap who is obsessive about shirts who sits near us.
Each season he buys them all, so three you might think, and then of course the three keepers shirts, so six @ £65

So I got the lad a shirt 2 weeks ago, in the shop, only size they had left, printed his name for about 60 quid (the one with the c&a quarters and the only size available was a YL. Then went to Sports Direct and got him a Man City one, similarly printed and delivered to here on USA for about 55 quid. Where are we when my local team's away shirts cost more that the Champions?

Can’t remember who it was, but a few clubs have said they’ll stick with their current one for a few seasons, due to the cost of living being so high etc.
