Was an entertaining game today, chaps.

Either team could have won it, neither deserved to lose, but I'm not going to complain about the result.

Lot's of attacking intent from you guys and you could have been 3-0 in 15 minutes. You need a few 'tweaks' at the back, though.

Bass reminds me of when Pickford was on loan with us, he always seemed to have a mistake in him too.

Gillead was everywhere doing nothing. He has no end product.

How many times did he beat a man or get into the box. He looked busy and had a better game than normal but he’s still shite. We need better if we are a serious club next season.

Evans played well but again next season he certainly isn’t the answer.

It's not often I agree with you, but this is spot on. He certainly was better than most of the anonymous performances we saw under Dull Derek. But for all his work rate he created next to nothing.

Yes we know about the back two central defenders, yet some say they are adequate, a bit like yours if truth be known? It was a great game in fairness.

After yesterday’s performance, and we are missing around 5 key squad players, I have revised my clear out list somewhat. Our trio in the middle outclassed yours, however as you say we need a finisher.

Pickford still DOES. One minute a sublime keeper, next minute he’s a liability.

Its ridiculous. We literally have 1, proper, professional standard centre back on our books in Paudie, and at best he's an average league 2 centre back. I just hope we scrape 10 points from somewhere so we can stay up and sort it in the summer.

Madness not bringing in a centre half in January.

Gillead is one of the most frustrating players ever as Hughes says he is technically very good have a great work rate goes non great runs but he creates and scores nothing. He doesn’t get in the box and shoot or to the byline and get good crosses in. As I say frustrating

He's better than average for league 2 he needs partner tho hendries perfectly capable too but we need ridehalgh back. Totally agree about needing to sort it in the summer tho we don't have enough at the back

Madness selling one and not bringing one. However much are reservations on him as a player, an average center back is better than none. Must have been a bust up

You will never ref at a higher level if you have to prove you are not influenced by being biased. Referee assessor's are actively looking for this

Didn't you say that last week? Apologies, it might have been another poster.

There's no need for Bass to be dropped. It certainly won't help the team harmony Hughes is building if he throws him under the bus, because of one error - that cost us a penalty.

When you take into account the most doziest LCB / LB performance since Wimbledon stuffed us in January 2018 (that memorable Knight-Percival and Chicksen, er, 'partnership') there was nothing wrong with Bass's performance - two or three time coming out to catch crosses etc, confidentally.

LOL! So of course because you disagree, then the other 15000 also disagreed!! And of course those who gave the award - but wadda they know anyway

The defence was a "disaster zone". But thank goodness Songo was there, otherwise it would certainly have conceded more. I'm afraid if you have two out of the four on a mission to compete for the most incompetent player of the day award, then it will be a "disaster zone". Not certain why Bass or Hendrie, who were OK should also be castigated.

Is Foulds immune to criticism or something? i.e. let's blame the defence when he was terrible - until Glyn Hodges gave him some direct instructions around the 55 minute of the second half.

I've defended Paudie lots of times, but he terrible yesterday.

Foulds as last week was up against a very good player I don’t think he did that badly Songo’o takes a lot of criticism but he did well yesterday sometimes you have to give the opposing team credit

Hes made a damn site more than one error since he arrived…..several goals were down to him. Coming out when he shouldn’t, not coming off his line for a simple 6 yard box collection. He’s too erratic for my liking. Great on one hand , abysmal decision making on the other. Yesterdays last 30 seconds summed him up!

Weirdo or not he was always making space for himself and when he got the chance was in the referees ear.
His goal said it all about the season he's having saw the cross was coming and made sure he would be there or there abouts constant thorn in our side, exactly what as a team were missing.

Im sorry …I cannot agree he’s better than average for a L2 defender. Slow on the turn, wreckless in the tackle, trying to pass the ball across the defence is an absolute scary manoeuvre and makes me cringe. His temperament is that of a loose cannon. An all round liability technically.

Wearing one’s heart on one’s sleeve does not make an above average defender in Paudie.
