So he would get at least a season as season tickets won't be on sale before this season ends.

I’d take anyone but Adams. He isn’t getting anything out of this group at all. Long term we need Rupp and Sparks out and a new owner appointing their own man, but in the short term I’d take anything but Adams. Flynn would be the sensible pick but I fear he has bigger targets.

    Bower. Its someone different.
adams is incapable of getting sufficient wins out of this group. I personally believe its because when we had a bit of adversity after the injuries earlier in the year, he came out and said this group don’t have a winner’s mentality.

the football and results have not been the same since so his toxic presence needs removing from the club and anybody - with it being a fresh face - would have an opportunity to get the players back on side.

Why is Flynn too big for us?. I'm not sure he has been in demand since he left Newport.

It’s clear that Adams view of what he watches each week is extremely blinkered. Ex pros commentating in recent games see a similar game and issues that many of the fans are talking about. Adams doesn’t or in protecting himself talks about other stats or singles out players for criticism. Management is about getting the best out of the players you have. I don’t see that. POC watt and Cooke three players who have been here a time and are young enough to have improved have not reached the levels they are capable of consistently. I cite these three as I believe they are some of the best we possess and feel the system tactics and coaching lead to this regression. Adams seems to have reverted into a bunker type mentality which Fergie used to get the best out of Man U players BUT Adams publically blaming the players isn’t something I remember happening at Man U. Adams is failing and doesn’t take responsibility for the team and performances. I can’t buy into this and although it is damaging as we need continuity Adams may have seemed the right choice last summer but patently is not.

Part of your role as manager is to get the best out of the players in your squad. And if that squad isn't good enough you have transfer windows to change it. Adams so far has not excelled in either. And yet Trueman and Sellars, two completely inexperienced managers managed to get a tune out of a group of players that Bowyer didn't so a change of manager could get you playing better. Just because fans are sick of seeing managers being sacked is not a reason to keep hold of one who is failing badly.
That said I don't think the club will sack him despite what happens this season. What Sparks will bank on is Adams getting it right next season so he can tell everyone how right he was to keep his appointment on. Dangerous game though when your fans do not relate to the managers style of football or his persona. If fans keep relating to what he did with little old Morecambe (no disrespect) then he should be doing far better than what I am seeing at Bradford City.

Problem with leaving it until the end of the season is the club is in danger of fans turning against Rupp and Sparks fully.

Fans will start to vote with their feet against Adams and do the same against Sparks & Rupp.

The club needs to highlight its not taking fans are mugs and give rid of Adams now then go on a PR mission.

The club just needs to be honest and say” we felt we had to make a change for the fans” - say that then Sparks might stand a chance. Dont do nothing and the pressure will build on him-massively!

Good post but if Sparks wants to gamble in keeping Adams here next season then he’s a donut that’s out of touch with the fans. WE DON’T LIKE ADAMS! so keeping him here next season will result in some fans not going to games. The club will become toxic and protests against Sparks & Rupp will start.

Basically, it will be a foolish move and I don’t think Sparks is that foolish. Adams needs to go and go quickly.

Yeah some folk on here making out he’s an in demand manager he’s been out of work for near on 5 months .................if City offered him the job then he would take it ..............but is he right for us now ????? We need somebody who will connect to the fans again and to me it’s Gary Jones .............. this club as a good habit of getting rookie manager in and doing well ........ Cherry , Dolan , Kammy and Jewell so why not Jones ????

it will result in thousands not going and the ones going will be turning it into a toxic atmosphere which again ain’t good ..............to me he’s got 3 games now to turn things around if that doesn’t happen then he’s got to go ............. I was actually looking forward to Oldham away the potential of a huge away following a few drinks around Manchester but how many are gonna be up for that now ????
We played them 2 weeks ago it would have been well over 3k be amazed if it’s anywhere near 2 :(

Crowd would jump from 5,000 to 20,000 in an instant if we brought Jones in as manager

Good point Idle. When we played Newport in October he had left the week before. Didn't see many tears shed and from what I know the relationship had soured a bit the season before when he brought a number of short term loans in and lost most of them in the January window. I know they got to the playoffs against Morecambe but there was a feeling they should have been auto.
Last summer Flynny lost Lennie Lawrence who was a big influence and they didn't start well. I got the feeling from their Directors Flynny had been on the lookout for another job and when we played they expected him to go to Bristol Rovers, a shoe in they said, but they stuck with Barton despite the problems. I hear Flynn is now in the frame for Cardiff and all this tells me three things. First he doesn't want to travel too far for his next job, second he has not been in great demand, apart from some on here who can only think ex players and third Newport have improved without him.
Don't get me wrong I like Flynn as a person, always got on with him when I was on the Board even though he could be abrasive but not one for me. As I've said on another post we can't keep changing, look back to the initial record of PP and see where that went.

wish folk would stop going on about PPs initial record ........... his only aim during that first season was to guarantee that this club was to remain in the football league which he did .......... so the initial part is a load of bull when he achieved what he was brought in for ......... now start talking us through his first full season ?????
Everything that was asked for him he did and let’s be right this club ain’t be right since he’s gone his departing back then should have had the warning signs going but it didn’t ............ he became the anti christ to some because he sussed these clowns out well before any of us did ................ just a pity Rupp didn’t leave one of either Lawn or Rhodes to oversee the transition because I doubt we would be any of this mess

I’m sorry, but Adams is done and the longer he stays the more toxic the relationship between fans (the clubs only asset remember) and Ryan & Stefan will become. Next season will be a disaster with 1000s not renewing season tickets and another wasted season in L2 with this dour muppet in charge,

The calls for him to go aren’t coming from ‘keyboard warriors making noise on #bcafc’ but from the core support. Look at WOAP, City Gent, key members of The Supporters Board… Christ I think even Bantam Pete has turned against Adams!

Time to call it Ryan, Stefan for the sake of yours and the clubs future.

    Adams' comment was odd.

We managed to attract a manager to join this basket case in the summer who had literally just promoted his team into League One.

The problem is that Adams now controls the club because of Sparks lack of football knowledge, Adams demanded a 3 year contract when an 18 month rolling contract should have been given, Adams demanded the sacking of the football recruitment guy and Sparks gave in, Sparks relies on Adams for all football matters and that is a mistake he needs to rectify

Morais, Flynn, Jones. There are managers out there who haven’t played for City before you know.

Sorry you see it like that but it is THE classic example. There were times later with PP when he couldn’t buy a win but never this level of hysteria.
