    I can’t find it but I am sure I read some NL or NL North/South chairman saying Wrexham paid more for Hosannah than their entire budget. FGR and Salford were throwing decent money around when they were in the conference. Forest Green spent £2.5m in their promotion season five years ago.

    Shows the money being thrown about and these clubs will overtake City soon because they’re not bothered about sustainability.

    Was speaking to a mate last week who's well connected at Torquay.

    They beat Stockport and were dead happy about it given the amount that Stockport have spent on fees and are spending on wages. It's all second hand info so I don't want to quote the numbers but they wouldn't look out of place in a recently promoted league two team trying to stay up in league one. I was genuinely shocked.

    Mullin didn’t go to Wrexham for peanuts
    The Borehan wood chairman said the fee Chesterfield paid for Tshimanga was “ amazing” and was aimed at Championship and league one teams.
    Very few league 1 teams and absolutely no league 2 teams are paying that sort of money.

    Same with what I was told with Wrexham mate. Numbers akin to a lower league 1 side.
    As for players, I noticed Jake Beezley got another 2 today. I mentioned him when we played Rochdale earlier this season and I was impressed with him. Doesn't need xG or scouts to spot these guys, they stand out like a sore thumb because their basic skilset will allow them to play at a higher level. Think that takes Beezley into the top five scorers now.
