If they can't take a bit of banter and scepticism from fans, then they shouldn't be even thinking of buying a football club.

 

I used my wildcard to cram my team with players who are actually playing, which was probably a pretty silly to do on a Thursday with plenty of time for more cancellations!!

Yeah I agree with you Simon, but the value of NFT's and crypto only matters if Rupp accepts a bid in such a currency, otherwise they'll have to pay with cold hard cash - that may have been generated from crypto and NFT's, and that would be fandabbydosy.

As for the future of the currencies, it sounds like they want to harness NFT's in particular to secure rounds of investment; in which case, doesn't it only matter what the value of the NFT's are when the club sold them?

I suppose I'm thinking of it as a 'money in the bank'-type thing, whereas it's more likely they would keep their 'wealth' invested....

Anyway, interesting thing to be linked with and far better than just 'a few lads down the pub are going to buy the club' haha

In light of recent speculation surrounding the ownership of Bradford City AFC, chairman Stefan Rupp has this morning issued a statement.

Mr Rupp said: “Despite various reports claiming a change of ownership is imminent, I can confirm it is not.


“Yesterday, I received an e-mail from a representative of the WAGMI United group with an offer to purchase Bradford City AFC.

“That is all I have received, nothing more, and no further action has taken place.”

 

So, not entirely nonsense even if there is no mileage in it

 

Hmm.

While I certainly don't want Rupp selling us down the river, equally he's outstaying his welcome at Bradford City in my opinion.

If I were part of WAGMI United, I'd be looking at a far more affordable option if Rupp is going to insist on keeping a club he doesn't care for in his portfolio.

And if they do purchase a club, and if it is a roaring success, you can bet Rupp will be hounded out.
